The mystery that unfolds on a dark, eerie back road in upstate New York sends Nick Dowling on a frantic quest to understand his past. What he discovers about himself slowly drives him toward madness. Where does the truth unfold, in mystery or in the dream? Is truth the illusion he can't embrace? Just who is Nick Dowling?

Read an excerpt
Suddenly he noticed lights, as if coming from a house. Thinking he might finally be off Fox Hollow Road and onto something that would take him into town, he breathed a sigh of relief.
"Shit," he said, as he got closer to the house. "Looks like a frigging dead-end."
He slapped his hand on the steering wheel. He decided to knock on the door and ask for directions as he stopped the jeep near the driveway. It was quiet, desolate. He took a deep breath and confronted his fear. "Get hold of yourself, man," he said.
Nick stared back at the farmhouse. It was familiar, which was not unusual. At every turn in upstate New York there was a farmhouse.
"A compelling sight," he said.
The house was stately and white. Lace curtains moved with the wind, like the porch swing. He could hear the creak. The house stood against the night in shades of grey, like an old postcard photograph picked up at a flea market. Nick could see bicycles lying on the grass. A dog lifted his head from the porch and stared at him. Nick felt strangely nostalgic.
He'd assumed years ago that he'd been raised in Phoenicia, New York, because that's what it said on the hotel register when he checked out of the room he'd awoken in, with no memory at all of how he had gotten there. Phoenicia, New York, was another small town within biking distance. He must have been on a lot of country roads in his childhood, staring at houses just like this one. He never went to Phoenicia, though, it was too frightening to confront a past he couldn't recall, but he'd insisted on buying a second house in New Kingston after finding the town on a Google search for vacation homes. Had he subliminally chosen to be near Phoenicia?
He didn't have any answers, perhaps he never would. Perhaps he didn't want them. As he stared at the house, it drew him in, engulfing him in a black and white fantasy, like an old film. He couldn't have any connection at all to this farmhouse. New Kingston wasn't written on the hotel register.
Nick stared at the house for several more minutes before the image faded, simply drifted off into the night, leaving behind a phantasmal mist. Nick drifted into the ebbing image, falling into a mindless stupor, as if inebriated.
"God," he cried out. "What the hell is happening to me?"
He struggled to escape the blank plateau into which he had fallen, but he couldn't. It was as if his thoughts were being gripped by a distant hand. He suddenly felt floated right up to a shadowy shape in the sky.
"Leave me alone!" he shouted.
His head fell sharply to his shoulder, an action that seemed to come from somewhere else, another person―another body.
"Stress can cause people to black out," Jenna once told him.
"Yes, of course, that's it―stress," Nick whispered. He looked back at the house again. The noise returned, overbearingly loud―the drill into concrete...deafening.
Quickly switching the radio back on to fight the noise, he thought about screaming out for help. The sound hovered above him, precariously close.
He turned the radio up louder. Nothing but staticDamn.
The noise continued...threatening to use its power...devour him. It was directly over his head, so very close. He felt lifted by it, lifted up to someplace far, as far as space.
"This is madness," he whispered. "This is impossible."
He had spent his entire adulthood distracted by the ordinary pressures of survival. He never considered himself particularly introspective, not much caring to delve into the remnants of feelings hidden beneath the debris of inconsequential information―feelings his wife insisted were vital links to his mental well-being. Nick never questioned his life after waking up in a Chelsea hotel with no past. He walked out into the city and survived. Surviving took up all his time, owned his thoughts. He didn't need to know the rest, the forgotten past. The only choices he needed to make were the ones he faced in his profession as a circulation vice president for a major New York newspaper. It took twenty years, but he finally had an executive's salary.
He didn't want to know his inner life. The dreams he had over the years had been too disturbing to probe―images of violent anger, blood everywhere he looked, murders he could not explain.
"My inner life is uneventful and average," he'd told Jenna when they first met. "I can't devote much time thinking about it."
And then, years later, new torment, new dreams...monsters haunted his sleep, metaphors for himself, he surmised.
No, Nick did not want to find his past or obsess on any uncomfortable emotions, especially not with his dreams, blood on his hands, a dead child at his feet...a battered woman.
"Am I insane?" He looked out into the night and shook his head. "Am I?"
He wiped his eyes with the back of his hand. He switched the radio back off and listened for the quiet stillness of night to return, soft and melodic. He listened until all he heard was the wind.
As he stared back at the old farmhouse tears came into his eyes. He suddenly wanted to leap from the car and run to the front door, as if he belonged there, behind the majesty of its silent repose.
I'm home. Mom! I'm home, he wanted to shout.
His eyes blinked as the lights in the farmhouse flickered. He switched the radio back on. He needed the music to ground him, but the static had returned with an irritating repetition. He tried to find a clear station. He was agitated. He wanted to get the hell out of there. He knew that by now the only general store in town would be closed and he'd have to deal with the supermarket for a
lousy quart of milk. He hated the supermarket: big, cold places...so why the hell can't I get off this damn road and make it to the goddamn general store?
"Shit," he said, switching off the radio altogether.
The lights from the house flickered again, as if an electrical storm was passing over, but the night was clear. Nick backed the jeep up, deciding he would leave the way he had come in...no need to ask for directions. As his breathing returned to normal, he was grateful for its steady rhythm. He was making rational decisions like his old self. It had all been imagination, just imagination.
As Nick backed up the jeep, he noticed a man at the window of the old house peering through a torn shade.
"What the hell happened to the lace?" He whispered as he stared in awe at the tattered blind. He quickly thought of his wife and the look in her large dark eyes as she gave him that half parted smile and suggested therapy. How the hell would he ever explain any of this to her?
He sat quietly. His eyes drifted back to the house. He looked quickly for the dog. All he saw was a tired old porch―empty...no porch swing. No dog.
"Shadows playing tricks," he said. The oblique shape in the sky expanded and lowered itself closer to the Earth.

They say your screams can’t be heard in space… Unless you have a partner or two! Eleven authors take you on a trip where any pairings are acceptable, locations vary from spaceships to strange and futuristic worlds, and interesting and exciting objects can be used in sex play.

If randy astronauts, virtual reality lovers, sex in near-death situations, a commitment phobe human and her alien lover, and reproduction in space experiments don’t do anything for you, you are clearly not human!

So try the stories in the alien worlds half of the anthology, instead. Here you’ll find alien Doms, a mysterious gladiator saving a stricken princess, an exotic dancer, a paid assassin on the run, an illegal sonic dilda’tor, and a pleasure booth. Space has never been so exciting!

Futuristic Earth
Naughty Nauts by H K Carlton (MFM): It's Jessa's job to observe Astronauts Hatch and Scott aboard the ISS. As the mission lengthens both ‘nauts begin to exhibit strange quirks, including suggestive behavior towards her. Jessa has no delusions. In what world would such formidable men give a curvy girl a go, let alone fulfill the delicious promises made over a wall of monitors.

Sanctum by Dee Maselle (MF): Fighting to reshape postwar Earth's data flows, virtual reality talents Krishav Santos and Marra find themselves trapped as rival network acquisitors - knackers. "We can be enemy knackers having fun while we wait," Marra decides, and she's right. After steamy VR fetish sex and united cybercombat, Santos wants Marra's talents in reality.

Re-entry by Ian D Smith (MF): Astronauts, Paul and Helen, could easily die when their prototype space capsule malfunctions in orbit. Their only hope for survival for involves a risky spell with no radio contact. Total isolation is a time for honesty about their feelings for each other. With no guarantee of living until the next day, this last chance may be all they have.

One Night by Rose Wulf (MF): Ivy doesn’t believe in love. But she believes in lust – like the lust that draws her focus to a sexy alien across the bar. He’s set to leave Earth the next morning, so Ivy figures she’s in for just a single night of erotic bliss when he walks her way. What she gets is so much more...

Filling the Void by Jordan Monroe (MFM): Josie Rodriguez is the subject for a special mission. She is the female participant of a study to determine if humans can naturally reproduce in outer space. Her male partner for the study is also the captain of the mission, which takes place on board the International Space Station. She isn’t opposed to having other lab partners, so to speak…

Alien Worlds
The Audition, by Ashe Barker (MF with multiple partners/aliens): When she accidentally opens a wormhole whilst working for NASA Lucy tumbles through to find herself in a parallel dimension with no way back. Ever. In this new and terrifying world she has to choose a Dominant mate from the group of males all more than happy to audition for the role.

The Gladiator’s Princess by Morgan King (MF): When life’s turning out just as you expected it to, when you’re about to be bred publically, as the climatic conclusion to a gladiatorial, orgy inspiring, conquest what Princess Kenara needs is a hunky alien to take her hostage. If Destin can also help with the pesky problem of her heat being triggered even better…

Alien Attraction by Dylan McEwan (MM): Five hundred years after the destruction of Earth, Aiden is a human slave on the planet Vordel, forced into the humiliating and tedious life of a sex performer in a seedy bordello. When he falls for the beautiful Vordellian aristocrat, Kyander, it seems like a hopeless dream, as relationships between the two species are strictly taboo.

Across the Stars by Ella Grey (MF): Kai knew he couldn't hide forever, but he never thought his old employers would send Lyria to track him down. Lyria wants her freedom and if that means she needs to capture and return the man who stole her heart, then so be it.

The Sonic Dilda'tor by Jennifer Denys (MF): Skarlet is a very sensuous woman, but is married to Braemel, whose people only have sex once every five years and she is desperate to save her marriage. She accidentally comes across a Sonic Dilda’tor and immediately knew it would help them. Unfortunately, it is banned on that planet …

Epilogue – after Futuristic Earth
The Pleasure Booth by Beverly Langland (MF and MFM scenes): Altairian scientists have uncovered an ancient Human artefact - the Pleasure Booth. Kazan, a feminist, xenologist and leader of a secret society, is the first Altairian female to try the booth, though strictly forbidden. She feels the journey essential for her thesis on Human sexuality and for the liberation of Altairian females. What she discovers is both puzzling and revolutionary.

Fabulous new release from author Katalina Leon, 'Forsaken Realms' #eroticromance #adventure not to be missed

Forsaken Realms:
On The Run, Bounty Hunters.
“Retrieval specialist” is a fancy term for high-level corporate bounty hunting and Agent Gemmina Nayar is the best in her league. She’s a sense-enhanced, level-seven bounty hunter from New Mumbai who receives an exclusive invitation to track a dangerous criminal on private property. She arrives on the tropical planetoid eager to hunt and release her inner tigress, but is disappointed to discover the bounty has already been captured.
Syan is a Kironian, an off-limits alien race. He’s gorgeous, rugged and all male. Even sedated and forced to wear an electronic silence collar, he resembles a coppery skinned refugee from Mount Olympus. Gemmina’s unaware Kironian saliva is loaded with pheromones that can turn even the most indifferent woman into a willing mate. A single kiss or bite is sabotage.

When the mission turns lethal, she realizes she’s not only been tricked into bringing the wrong man to justice, but the harsh jungle below is a calculated trap.

Read an excerpt:

Four guards wearing head-to-toe body armor and face shields, and carrying ionized bang sticks with the tips glowing hot, marched toward her, dragging a semi-conscious man between them. The captive was slumped forward with head hanging and a tousle of dark, wavy hair concealing his face. His splayed legs hung limp, and the toes of his heavy boots dug deep furrows into the beach. The current sedation seemed to be effective.
A guard stepped forward. “Opened the skimmer’s bay wider. This is a big guy.”
Gemmina carefully lifted her feet and dared to take a shaky step or two across the rolling glass-bead beach.
“Hold on. Let me have a look at him before I take custody.”
She removed a handheld scanner from a hip pocket, activated it, and waved it over the inert captive.
“I’m looking for possible broken bones, signs of abuse, bruising, internal injuries, slow- acting poisons, et cetera.... In short, anything that I don’t want to be held legally responsible for. I’m making a complete virtual record of his physical condition at the time he was taken into my custody.”
She scanned the man’s powerful limbs. Syan wore a snug, black pressure suit made of stretchy fabric that emphasized the curved sweep of thick biceps and broad thighs. The man was built. Best guess was he’d be at least a head and a half taller than she was. He appeared to be pure muscle and was likely at least twice her weight. Without a doubt, he was going to be a challenge to transport, and she wished she had a bigger ship with a secure gravity-plus chamber to lock him inside.
The guard who had removed his face shield appeared concerned. “Is everything all right?”
“Aside from mild dehydration, so far everything’s fine, but don’t rush me. Taking a virtual report is serious business. If a judge ever discovered that I let it slide before I—”
The guard interrupted. “No one’s rushing you! Take your time.” Then he made the spinning fingers motion, which was the universal sign for hurry-up.
With a gentle touch, she explored the top of Syan’s head. His hair was unlike that of any species she’d ever seen. It was dense, and the glossy locks that hung to his chin were such a deep black they shimmered with a purple iridescence reminiscent of a raven’s feather. Fascinated, she rubbed a few strands between her fingertips. Kironian hair was gorgeous and felt like silk. Touching it was mesmerizing.
The guard frowned. “What are you looking at? Is something wrong?”
“I’m examining him. I’ve never seen a Kironian before.” She knelt to Syan’s level, brushed his long hair aside, and cautiously lifted his chin. Her breath caught. He was stunning with heavy, black brows and rugged features paired with flawless, coppery skin. He looked like a refugee from Mount Olympus now collared and bound. He was too damn perfect in a provocative way.
Syan opened his eyes, which were ringed with lush, black lashes. Just that one movement appeared to tax him, and the first moments his attention seemed to drift before coming into focus, but, when it did, his gaze was laser-sharp. Without blinking he looked directly at her. He had large, commanding black eyes with the slightest violet sheen. The intensity of a bird of prey shone in their depths.
His gaze narrowed and for a moment she imagined he was attempting to speak to her, in code or through looks. A weird sense of telepathic connection lingered. Suddenly a rush of jumbled images raced through her mind. The images were disturbing and violent, and churned unsettling emotions. He opened his mouth as if he were silently screaming, wriggled one arm free of the guards and lunged toward her throat with teeth bared.
“Whoa!” Gemmina leaped backward, toppled, and crawled away on her elbows like a crab until she sank into the beach sand. “Holy crap! What was that about? This man’s not sedated!”
The guards surrounded Syan and delivered a crackling volley of stunning bursts from their blast sticks until their captive shuddered, fell, and lay limp on the ground with a trickle of blood running from his bitten lip.
“That’s enough!” she shouted…

Planet Alpha #newrelease erotic #Sci-Fi romance from Evernight and J.J Lore

As two Alphan warriors on the fast track to promotion and improved status, Mikel and Felix of the Tauride have their future planned out. They intend to go from performing security duties for the Prince while he visits Earth to eventually earning the right to seek out their human mate and rescue her in some dramatic way, impressing her and earning her love. But a chance encounter with a lovely young woman sends them both down a markedly different path.

Shy Alisa Sorrel merely wanted to see a rose garden, then retreat back to her safe and sequestered life in the Women’s Refuge on Earth, but once she encounters two earnest and determined Alphan officers, she’s forced out of her shell and into a whole new world of passion.

Even as the bonds they share tighten and satisfy needs they’d never imagined, Alisa, Felix, and Mikel are soon faced with danger and betrayal from the machinations of humans and Alphans alike. The Alphans will have the chance to rescue their fair damsel after all, but will they make it in time?

Read an excerpt:
Felix was done with caution and care. Mikel was so wound in nerves he wouldn’t be of any use unless directed to take on a platoon of Xyrans with only an ironwood club, and Alisa was fluttering and wavering enough to drive him mad. Time to assume command of this tiny cohort and get to the business at hand. With that decisive thought, he grabbed Alisa’s fingers and tugged her from the utility room back into the bedroom. She followed with a squeak and stood where he placed her, right in front of the bed.
Without taking his gaze from her, he pulled off his tunic and undershirt, then kicked off his boots, which smacked into the wall opposite. Alisa flinched but didn’t look away, and he knew with a flush of triumph that she wasn’t going to run no matter how he might provoke her. She might want to seem meek and shy, but that was a lie put to rest by her bright eyes and quickened breath. Felix knew Mikel was standing close behind, could sense his bondmate’s rising excitement, but now what mattered was convincing Alisa to release herself from whatever fear was holding her back. In that aim, he stepped close and caught up her hand again, pressing it to the center of his chest where she could feel his heat, his strength, the way his heart pounded for her. Her little fingers were soft and cool, quivering against his skin in a way that made every centimeter of skin on his body long for her touch.
“This is for you, Alisa, if you care to take it.” He growled out the words in his most ferocious tone of command. She swallowed hard and jerked her chin up. “We will never hurt you.”
“You aren’t going to make me—”
“Never. Choose us.” He was too anxious and roused to use more persuasive words, to keep making light conversation as they circled and circled round the primal question. Her eyes widened. “Do you deny the attraction between us?”
She had to feel it even if she didn’t understand how monumental it was to Mikel and him. She’d come to learn, and from what he’d heard it simply took human women a bit longer to accept the bonding ties. Human men weren’t equipped to be so irrevocably bound to another, but Alphans treasured such connections.
“I find you both very … magnetic. I’ve just never done this before.” Her words tumbled out in a whispered rush before she tightened her full pink lips like she’d said a foul word. Felix couldn’t hold back the grin signaling his happiness. She wanted them, but was just unsure as to proceed.
“All we want to do is please you,” Mikel whispered as he drew closer to her. He pulled at his own tunic and undershirt, baring himself before her, and Alisa glanced back and forth between them before tentatively reaching out to touch his bondmate’s exposed chest. With a shuddering sigh, she stroked her hands along their muscles, tracing her fingers into the hair that covered them, soft palms stroking across their dinap. The physical sensation, combined with the relief that she was finally responding, threatened to overwhelm him.

J.J.Lore visits the blog with her #Sci-Fi #erotic romance, Bondmate: Planet Alpha from #EvernightPublishing

Decorated Alphan warriors Mateen and Bynton are on a clandestine mission to one of Earth’s refugee camps, in search of the one woman who might complete their bond. Tempering their instincts to capture and hold, both men realize they must court their chosen woman to win her trust.
Avanelle Rein is merely trying to survive in the chaos of a dying society. The last thing she expects is rescue at the hands of golden-skinned alien men. Despite her attraction to them, she fears their warrior ferocity.

Facing danger from Xyran raiders draws the three together as they explore their new relationship and one another. An unexpected challenge during an ancient claiming right forces Avanelle, Bynton, and Mateen to decide if their bond is strong enough to survive.
Read an excerpt:
“Do you find me unattractive because I’m not human?”
Oh.
“I don’t know. I’ve only just seen you for the first time today.” She didn’t want to insult him and was in fact, quite confused in her thinking. She blamed the ample meal and the ever so slight caresses he was giving her. She was too soft and warm to keep up a barrier between her thoughts and her mouth.
“Illumination increase twenty percent.” Mateen barked out an order, and she jumped again. Suddenly she could see him, seated on the bed next to her, his face a few centimeters from hers. A handsome face, somehow the golden shade of his skin didn’t strike her as odd anymore, and his bronze eyes were as mesmerizing as a cat’s. At least, as she imagined a cat’s would be. His horns were barely noticeable, and in all honesty, she was now more intrigued by them than repelled. He watched her for a moment.
“Our anatomy is nearly identical, and our DNA is compatible. I believe both Bynton and I are adequately symmetrical to indicate our vitality and genetic viability.”
“Yes, you seem healthy,” Avanelle breathed this out, completely confused by his statements. They were quite clearly discussing the potential for fucking, but in the strangest, most clinical way she could imagine. Where was the grabbing and growling she’d anticipated? Men wanted to take and dominate, to pretend they had some control over a chaotic world.
“Perhaps you worry about physical conformity.” With this, Mateen slid off the bed and pulled at his clothes. In a few quick movements the loose tunic he’d been wearing was tossed on top of a chair. Avanelle’s mouth went dry. Broad chest, ridged abdomen, thick and bulging arms; Mateen looked like an idealized statue of what a man should be. He reached for the fastener on his trousers but stopped when there was a clanging noise from outside the bedroom.
“Bynton, please come in. Avanelle and I are in the midst of a discussion.”
Within a moment, Bynton was there, his eyebrows raised as he took in the sight of her crouched on the bed and Mateen standing half-naked in front of her. He was wearing tall boots, the armor she remembered striking to no effect, and a sleek black coat that swept the floor behind him. Without a word he reached for his garment and shrugged out of it, the slippery-looking material stretching over his broad shoulders as he moved. Mateen waited as his companion shed his armor and tunic. The room felt too warm, and Avanelle tugged at her shirt, making sure it still covered her.
Bynton was as well-structured as Mateen, if only slightly less heavy. Standing side by side, they seemed as formidable as a wall. As one, they reached for their trousers, unabashedly stepping free of the garments to reveal soft knit shorts distended by sizeable bulges. If she looked closely she could make out the curve of their—
“Wait!” Avanelle held up her hands, suddenly afraid, this strange discussion taking on a very immediate urgency. She wanted to see and yet wanted to close her eyes.
“You find us unattractive?” Bynton’s voice conveyed disappointment. Mateen straightened, his hand at the waistband of his shorts.
“No, not unattractive. Hardly that.” Avanelle wasn’t sure what she was thinking. They were beautiful in a strange way, close to a human ideal, but slightly different, different enough to give her pause and tempt her at the same time.
“We were discussing physiology before you came in.” Mateen adjusted his protruding cock, and Avanelle knew she was blushing even as she felt her nipples tighten. He was so matter-of-fact. Just looking at the ridges and thick heads outlined underneath the thin material was making her lightheaded.
“Ah.” Bynton nodded. “Would you like to see us?”
With a thick swallow, Avanelle gave a quick nod. It was inevitable, and perhaps their very open manner would ease some of her nerves. Apparently at some point she’d decided there was going to be physical contact between them. She wasn’t sure when that page had turned, but somewhere between Mateen’s soft touches and Bynton’s worry that he repelled her, she’d made up her mind. She knew she should be horrified at what was to come, but some pulse of curiosity and desire thrummed through her. She wanted to know, to see, to feel.
They had to pull the waistbands out to work their undershorts down, and once she saw their cocks spring free, thick and dusky red, her breath rushed out even as her sex swelled. The fine dark hair that covered their chests tapered down and then thickened into a patch framing their erect members and full sacs. So large. Thick thighs, swollen with muscle, only emphasized their masculine form. They had bodies made for battle and conquest. A shaky part of her brain commanded her to lie back and spread her legs apart. Instead, she pressed a hand to her mouth.
“Are we not as you expected?” Mateen was watching her with those hot eyes that missed nothing.
“No, you’re fine. Very well made.” She coughed and wondered what else to say. Bynton smiled at her praise. He leaned forward and sat on the bed as Mateen followed suit. She was warm, either from the closeness of their naked bodies or the way her blood was rushing through her body.
“Would you like to touch us?”
They were aliens, she reminded herself. But they hadn’t harmed her, hadn’t done anything more objectionable than carry her away from a frightening place. All that gleaming skin, those bunching and flexing golden muscles surrounding her. Why not enjoy it, just as she had enjoyed cleaning her skin in their shower, eating their food until her belly was content?
She reached out and placed a hand on their flat, firm chests, lightly, but not so lightly she didn’t feel their skin twitch, their breaths catch. Hot and hard were the only sensations she could process as she stroked their skin, one rising swell of muscle after the other.
Bynton drew nearer, stretching his thighs next to hers as he made a low sound in his throat. His cock bobbed near her hip, and she watched it a second, the broad red head a contrast to her pale skin. Her mouth watered, and she swallowed. Then Mateen placed his hand over hers as she slid it along his shoulder.
“We aren’t so different from a human male, are we?”
Oh, he had no idea. The men she’d known, seen naked, had in no way been similar to these beings pressing close to her. “Perhaps not in design, but your execution is … is…”
She had no words. They were both close enough now she could smell them, a rich musk that filled her nose and nerves with pleasure. Her pussy quivered and tingled.
“What is different? Show us,” Bynton asked as he rolled onto his back. Her gaze swept from his wide chest down to his erection, then to his slightly parted thighs, everything he had on display for her.
“Unfamiliarity can increase fear. We want you to be comfortable with us.” Mateen rumbled as he sat up behind her, close enough for her to lean against if she liked. He settled his arm along her hip, his fingers against her upper thigh, and her pussy clenched. It was so wrong to be aroused by this, but she couldn’t help it.
