My publisher has a suggestion.
Help me decide between The Last Time and a new title A Star Studded Romance
The book blurb to help you decide:
Actor
Seth Carbery swears he will never fall in love again, that is until he meets
private detective Bethany Snow.
Something
strange is going on. Seth and other members of the movie cast and crew are
receiving threatening letters, but no threat has ever been carried out... yet.
Bethany Snow is sent on location by the Black Agency to investigate, and guard
Seth Carbery against danger.
The
case is not what it first seems and even when Bethany thinks it could be over,
a new twist means she becomes a target.
Seth
and Bethany find they can’t keep their hands off each other.
Who
is sending the letters and why? Does Seth have a secret admirer or stalker?
With
steamy romance, graphic love scenes, and a quirky story of what people do for
love this erotic romance is for adults only.

ReplyDeleteWell, I would choose The Last Time, as the other one sounds too much like a lot of other romance book titles.
Hi Elodie, "A Star Studded Romance" would be my title of choice as it reveals a lot more about the content of the book, so gives the reader an instant clue what to expect. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteOh just has to be "The Last Time" . . . it suggests so many curiosities, questions, uncertainties !!! (Of course, the fact that it just happens to be my favourite Rolling Stones song, has absolutely nothing to do with it !!!)

ReplyDeleteThe Last Time sounds more appealing to me... The other title seems like some of the ones already out, "typical title"... Good luck! Which title do you find most appealing? Help me choose and win .....

I like both, but I think I will go with 'The Last Time'. :D

ReplyDeleteSince the summary speaks of a movie cast and crew, "A Star Studded Romance" clicked in my head as the perfect choice.
ReplyDeleteI like The Last Time personally. Star Studded Romance is too cheesy for me.
ReplyDeleteOf those two, I think The Last Time is a better title. If this is a standalone, then Falling for Trouble? Of course, if you intend to bring the characters back (and I could see that easily!), then something with 'Black' in the title. 'Black Undercover' maybe. on Which title do you find most appealing? Help me choose and win .....
The Last Time, no doubt!
ReplyDeleteThe Last time as been done over and over again. A Star studded romance! I'd buy that!!!
ReplyDeleteStar Studded Romance
ReplyDeleteHaving read the summary, the title that seems to fit is Star Studded Romance. It give a hint of the content and storyline more.

I love The Last Time!! It goes with the book and that title just sounds better rolling off the tongue. on Which title do you find most appealing? Help me choose and win .....
ReplyDeleteThe last Time doesn't really grab me, and to me it doesn't represent the Book enough. I would go with just Star Studded and drop the explanations.
ReplyDeleteHi Elodie, I like The Last Time. Patricia ♥ =on Which title do you find most appealing? Help me choose and win .....

ReplyDeleteHi Elodie, I like The Last Time because it is about the actor falling in love for the last time with danger involved. The other title, well, it sounds great at first, but romance. Maybe a A Star Studded Love? I vote for The Last Time. Thanks for inviting me to participate in your title contest. Patricia ♥
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of "The Last Time". ♥
ReplyDeleteI would have to choose The Last Time. Hope you get a clear answer from everyone. Thanks for the title contest. S. Young
Well you know I like Star Studded Romance, lol. Thanks for inviting me to vote in your poll. :)
ReplyDeleteJulianne Pellegrino Grider I like both, but I think A Star Studded Romance catches the eye and the ear a little quicker.

ReplyDeleteThe Last Time. I think the other throws you off with the actual title. Sounds too much like a showmance. No I've decided...The Last Time sounds to the point of what the story is about :) Shiralyn. J Lee
ReplyDeleteAfter reading over the blurb, I'm going to stick with "The Last Time." It's much more catchier than the "A Star Studded Love"
ReplyDeleteIn my honest opinion, The Last Time sounds better & is a more appealing title. A Star Studded Romance doesn't sound very appealing and it's a rather cheesy title. To be honest, I wouldn't consider reading a book with a title like that.
ReplyDeleteIn my honest opinion, The Last Time sounds like more of an appealing title & it seems to fit the story more (judging from the blurb). A Star Studded Romance doesn't sound very appealing & rather cheesy. As a reader of romance, I wouldn't consider reading a book with a title like that.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I feel "The Last Time". "A Star Studded Romance" seems jarring and pushy. I prefer a more subtle title.
ReplyDeleteI even had a nap to contemplate this:) After reading the excerpt, there can be no doubt Elodie that the title should remain as how you first saw it - The Last Time. The alternative suggestion sounds a little too cheesy to me, and I know that you are a classy writer with more to say. It is only fitting, therefore that your title reflects who you are are and the craft you are producing. Keep yourself true.
ReplyDeleteI like them both, A Star Studded Romance brings in the idea of a movie set
ReplyDeleteThe Last Time....much better than your publisher's choice....which sounds more like a PG 13 movie title!
ReplyDeleteA Star Studded Romance is a catcher for buyers. cruzinpirates
