S for #sexy with seven sentences as #SexySnippets comes from 'Unexpected Storm' @SecretCravings

When Holly takes a vacation with friends, she never dreams she will meet someone who turns her lonely life around in just one afternoon…the question is, can this kind of heat last…
Read the #SexySnippet

She couldn’t tear her gaze from his blue eyes. Her entire body reacted wildly to this man. Breasts heavy, pussy drenched, eyes about to close with a haze of lust, she heard a sigh break from her lips.

Will brought his other hand gently around Holly’s head, held her, and watched her eyes as he descended on her mouth.

His fingers against her ear sparked rivulets of sensation. They trickled goose bumps down her neck to her breasts.

His kiss was soft, sexy, lingering, and when he stopped, Holly followed his mouth with hers, the desperation for more kisses driving her.

By Valerie Rouse for Readers’ Favorite 4 stars
Unexpected Storm is a short, sexy novel. The beginning was really unexpected. It took me literally by surprise! This tactic is very effective because it spurs on the average reader to become more engrossed in the story. I certainly did. The use of erotica was tastefully implemented. The language is colloquial and easy to understand. I love the fact that author Elodie Parkes fully developed the characters instead of just giving superficial highlights of them. The contrast between the rainy conditions and the scorching physicality between the two main characters is very clever and exotic. Any reader would love to be a willing participant in the passionate embraces showcased at the beginning of the novel. The sultry cover photo also helps to perpetuate sexual tension and create a vivid impact on the reader. I also appreciate the fact that both points of view of the main characters were included in the novel. Most of the time, the female’s thoughts are highlighted in romance novels. This change from the norm is a plus because it gives the realistic impression that men experience inner emotional turmoil in relationships. This book is hot! I recommend it to all readers who need a vicarious shot of sexy romance in their lives.

Pinkness tints her cheeks as she tilts her head, tucking a strand of hair behind
her ear. Her sudden shyness intoxicates him, a heady combination of adorable and sexy, making her pleasure his only goal. He slips his hands under her negligee,  lifting it off and tossing it aside. The pressure in his groin almost erupts at her pink nipples straining taut against his chest.
Keeping him from taking one in his mouth, she slides her delicate hands under
his chin, studying his face, scanning his features as if searching for something
beyond the surface. He freezes under her gaze. She delves deeper than any other woman, almost farther than he can endure, fearful she’ll pierce the mask hiding the real him. And, despise what she finds underneath. His voice chokes in his throat. “What?”
A soft smile graces her angelic face. “Has anyone ever told you how wonderful
you are?”
No. Because no one’s ever thought it but her.
Her mouth finds his. Chaste kisses, smiling against his lips. “And romantic.”
Pressing softly, barely touching. “Thoughtful.” Driving him to the edge as he
resists every urge to devour her. “Sexy.”
Just when he can’t hold back any longer, she thrusts her tongue inside, making
him moan as his fingers slide across her cheeks and into her hair, absorbing all
of her sweet essence. Fighting to control his desire, he breaks away, dipping
his head and flicking his tongue against the hardened nub, keeping her in place
as her back arches. She drives her hands through his hair, wrapping her fingers
around the burgeoning curls on his neck he hates, her breathy whisper like
fireworks against his skin. “These are perfect to hold on to when you make love
to me.”
Okay, maybe they aren’t so bad. She lifts up from straddling him as he grasps
the waistband of her panties. Her fingertips burn his skin in their urgency to
help him push them down. In her raised position, he teases her wet core,
stroking the soft folds before plunging a finger inside. She gasps, her legs
trembling, and begins to lower herself back down. Wrapping his arm around her
waist, he holds her up as she rests her head on his shoulder. His body flames
with need at her lips on his ear. “Your fingers are magic.”
“That’s not my only trick.”
As she whispers his name, her hands move to his pants, unbuttoning and unzipping
them as he lifts up to free himself from the fabric separating them. He reaches
into his pocket and pulls out a foil packet before kicking his pants all the way
off. Her eyes never waver from his as he guides her hips over his throbbing tip.
She slides down his length, her lips parting in a sharp gasp, her small fist
wrapping around his shirt. Pain grips his chest at her hesitation. “Are you
okay?”
A slow smile curls her lips as she nods. “I’ve never been on top. You’re a lot
to take in at once.”
“I don’t want to hurt you.”
“I’m fine.”
Coiling her arms around his neck, she slowly raises and lowers her body, letting
him stretch and fill her, building tension in him begging to be released. Silky
perfection moving under his fingertips. All he can see is her. Nothing else
exists. No barriers between them. Only her sweetness surrounding him, flowing
over him like the purest honey. “Do you know how much I love you?”
She nods, her eyes heavy with desire, locking with his. God, she’s so beautiful.
“How right this is?”
Her head dips again, her gaze boring into his, humbling him with the enormity of her love.
“How I'm never letting you go?”
Her pace quickens at his words. Their bodies’ slick with sweat, skin sliding
against skin as she accepts him completely. He grasps her hips, grinding into
her while helping her ride him faster and deeper. The rhythm of his hard thrusts
matches her racing heart against his chest, her muscles pulsing and tightening
around him. “Nick, I…”
He can’t hold back, and he’s taking her with him. “Tell me, sweetness.”

He wants to find a wife. She doesn’t want to marry again –ever. Not exactly a match made in heaven. Ten years ago, Griff Montgomery, star quarterback of the Kings and womanizer, became a stand-in father for his widowed sister’s kids. His happy family life collapsed when she and her new husband moved to California. Griff wants his own family. But where does a “player” go to find his ideal mate?
Having sworn off marriage forever, Lauren Farraday barely kept her life together after her divorce. With her career shaky and depression closing in, the last thing she needed was a courtroom battle with a sexy athlete.
Forced, by a judge, into an uneasy truce, the pair denied their growing chemistry. Wary of Griff’s reputation with women, and hiding a secret, Lauren keeps him at arm’s length. Determined, Griff marches toward his goal. Can the quarterback handle the truth or will he walk away, like he always has in the past?

“Even better.” Carla licked her lips. “I’ll bet she has no idea you’re having sexual fantasies about her.”
“I’m not. It was an accident,” he hissed.
“Sure, sure. Keep telling yourself that. Wonder what she’d think if she knew?”
“Don’t, Carla. Please don’t. I’m begging you.” Griff reached for her arm, but she shook him off.
Buddy faced the quarterback. “What the hell did you do?”
“You don’t wanna know.”
“Oh no. You didn’t?” His eyebrows rose.
Griff nodded. “Guilty.”
“Whoa, stand back, Tony. There’s gonna be some fireworks in a minute.” Buddy pushed Hastings to the wall.
“You wouldn’t be lying, now, would ya?” Carla asked, directing her stare at Buddy.
“See for yourself.” He gestured to the brunette at the corner table.
“Lauren!” Carla cupped her hands and yelled.
Lauren stood up, turning to face them.
“You Lauren?”
“Please, please, Carla. I’m sorry, so sorry,” Griff whispered. “Don’t do this.”

CHARACTER BIOS

GRIFF MONTGOMERY - His journey from the tiny town of Adams, Indiana to national fame as a top quarterback, playing for the Connecticut Kings, had been one of hard work and dedication to the game of football. He became a family man when he moved in with his widowed sister to help her raise her two kids.
Totally focused on his career and being a stand-in dad, Griff worked hard. He believed that allowed him to play hard, too, at least when it came to women. A natural athlete, handsome and sexy, he’d been called a man-whore with a girl in every road-trip city. But once his family left for the West Coast, his compartmentalized existence fell apart.
Putting his life back together meant committing to a woman, marriage and kids. But could a “player” become a man-whore no more? He wouldn’t put money on a new beginning happening with a woman who had sworn off marriage for good. But there she was, beautiful and hiding something. He couldn’t ignore her, no matter how hard he tried.
LAUREN FARRADAY - Reeling from a personal tragedy and a recent divorce, Lauren wanted peace above all else. Tending to her ailing father, and trying to make a living as a freelance decorator didn’t leave time or energy for men. Love had kicked her in the teeth, so she wanted no part of it. Not now. Not ever.
Forced, by the court, to let seductive Griff Montgomery into her life, she built a wall around her heart. No way was she going to trust the man with a girl in every port. Despite their chemistry, she tried to keep the quarterback at arm’s length. Fearing heartbreak, she kept her secret hidden. How could she expect him to abandon his relationship deal-breaker for a woman like her?

Tamara Hoffa is my guest today with #newrelease, Hers to Bear, #paranormalromance

Mating with the Alpha Bear of Honey Corners is sweet, until danger HUNTS the happy couple.

Twenty-five and never been kissed, Jenna Raynes is a beautiful woman with a rubenesque figure often overlooked by men. In the mood for a little honey, the sassy new schoolteacher is stopped in her tracks by one growled word from an alpha bear…“Mine.”
Bern Helms’ inner bear catches the scent of his destined mate. His animal’s desire is drawn to her curves, but Jenna is human, and not lured to him by instinct. Convincing her begins as a sizzling, sweet affair that is soon spoiled by danger. In their small backwater town, nerves are strung taut. Someone is abducting shifter children.
When confronted, Jenna is as protective of her students as a mamma bear. For Bern, all bets are off when the kidnapper’s take Jenna too. Nothing will keep a bear from his mate. The hunters will become the hunted…
Bern had come into the store for his daily honey fix. He admitted it, he was addicted to the stuff. He had just bought two dozen biscuits at the bakery and he was going to drown them in honey, along with a nice piece of salmon for dinner.
When he stepped through the door he stopped in his tracks. His nostrils flared and his heart began to race. What was that fabulous scent? Like honey and vanilla, but something else too. Something that was making his cock stand up and do a happy dance in his pants.
Mate. Oh my God and goddess, his mate was in this store. He couldn’t think. Instinct took over and his legs carried him to the source of the tantalizing scent that had his libido raging and his bear roaring.
He was beside her before his brain had caught up with his body. He had to touch her. She was his. His hand covered hers as she reached for a jar of honey on the shelf. “Mine,” he growled. When she looked up at him with crystal blue eyes he thought he’d fallen into them and drowned.
Flawless porcelain skin covered a face that could have been painted by Botticelli. Pale blonde lashes framed her startled eyes and her cheeks were flushed an enticing pink. She bit her bottom lip and he wanted to kiss away the sting her torment caused the luscious flesh.
“There’s more than one jar,” she said, and her voice was husky and sweet.
She took a step back and a low growl escaped his throat. His bear didn’t like their mate backing away from them.
“I beg your pardon?”
“You are mine. You are my mate.”

Author Allie Kincheloe visits the blog today with Secret Cravings release 'Sean's Sweetheart' #romance

Thanks for having me visit today!
Don't you love stories where the bad boy falls for the good girl? I certainly do. Sean, the hero in my story, has worked hard to clean up his life and is trying to shed that 'bad boy' label. Talia, the heroine, doesn't care what labels Sean has as long as one of them is 'Hers'.
Here are a few facts about Sean's Sweetheart.
1. Sean's character lingered in my mind for some time before I thought of an appropriate story for him and found the perfect heroine for him. You can read the full details of how this story came to me here.
2. A few of the scenes were originally in someone else's POV than the final version. They were completely re-worked during revision and edits. In the original draft, there were even a couple from Talia's dad's POV.
3. The self-defense class and the scene after it were my favorites. They were also the very last scenes I wrote for this story!
4. The cover is almost exactly what I had pictured from the moment I wrote the waterfall scene. I love it so much!!
So, if bad boys, good girls, and twisty drama are your thing...give Sean's Sweetheart a try. I hope you love reading it. I certainly loved writing it!

Layer by layer, Talia peeled away his resistance.

Sean has spent five years cleaning up his life. He’s shoved his past behind him and built a profitable business in the town’s most popular dance club. Falling in love with a college sophomore wasn’t in his plans. But, from the moment he rescued Talia, she brings out his every protective instinct. He tries to resist getting involved on a personal level. Talia’s persistence, however, is stronger than his will.
Despite just ending an abusive relationship, Talia finds an instant connection with a man unlike any she’s dated before. Older, tattooed, and totally inappropriate for her, Talia couldn’t keep Sean off her mind, especially once he calls her “sweetheart” in that deep drawl of his.
When Talia is in danger, they discover just how strong their relationship is. Can Sean and his sweetheart make things last when horrors from their pasts come back to haunt them and family seems determined to keep them apart?

Read an excerpt
With his hand on the small of her back as a guide, he directed her out the back door to the service alley. He led her over to a big black Harley and held a helmet out to her.
“Uh…” A motorcycle? Why couldn’t he have a sports car or a truck? Of course a tattooed bartender would drive a motorcycle.
The smug look on his face made her want to prove his assumptions wrong. Prove to him she wasn’t a goody-goody, scared shitless to climb on top of a motor with wheels and fly down the road under someone else’s control.
“It’s this or you call someone.”
Screw that.
She snatched the helmet from his hand. Talia gave him the address and fiddled with the strap, trying to figure out how to adjust it. His hands came up to tighten it for her and their fingers brushed. She sucked in a deep breath at his touch. His low chuckle took that spark of anger and kindled it into a blaze of desire. With the street lamps behind him, she couldn’t read his expression. His hand closed over hers for a brief second before he jerked it away. He straddled the bike and pulled his own helmet on.
She climbed on behind him and he started the motor. Talia jumped at the sudden roar of the engine and clung tight to his broad back. His chest shook with laughter beneath her hands. Talia relaxed a bit as the bike moved and they didn’t crash. She slid her arms around his waist and started to enjoy the ride, to enjoy the feel of holding a man.
She’d never been on a motorcycle before. Had never wrapped her arms around a complete stranger like this, either. She didn’t know his name, but she knew the strength in his muscles and the rhythm of his breathing. When she hugged him tighter, her fingers slipped through the button placket on his shirt. Instead of removing her hand, she combed through the tangle of hair on his chest, surprising herself with her boldness. His hand dropped back to squeeze hers for a moment, but he didn’t pull her hand away.
The ride ended too soon when he rolled the bike to a stop in front of her house. She stumbled getting off the bike, but he caught her before she face-planted on the sidewalk. He even walked her up to the door and waited behind her on the porch while she tried to unlock it. Her trembling hand dropped the keys and he bent to grab them before she could react.
“My name’s Sean, by the way.” He unlocked the door for her and handed her keys back.
“Sean. That’s a very nice name. It fits you. I’m Talia.” Did he expect to come in? They had just met and she still had a boyfriend, at least until she could find the nerve to dump the jerk. She’d never been the cheating type.
He leaned one broad shoulder against the wall next to the door and stared down at her. Shadows hid part of his face from her, but his eyes glittered in the dim light.
Sean’s chest rumbled with a deep chuckle. “Would you’ve said the same thing if I’d told you that my name was Bruno?”
A giggle snuck out. Bruno? Not a chance Bruno would fit him.

One look ignites a smolder between Dan and Blaire, one touch sparks a wildfire that burns out of control, hotter than the Texas sun.

Blurb:
Blaire is a freelance photographer on assignment. She is heading home to Texas, armed with her camera to do a photo feature for the Tribune. Taking photos of the dude ranch, she gets an eyeful of an uninhibited cowboy through her lens. The summer heat of Texas has nothing on the heat he generates in her.
Dan was expecting a photographer but not the sexy urban cowgirl that arrived. He knew it was hot out, he just hadn’t expected the hot and sexy woman to make him burn the minute he caught sight of her. One look and he had to quench this fire inside.
One touch between Dan and Blaire sparks a wildfire that burns hotter than the Texas summer and is just as hard to put out.

She was in a white bandana halter from what he could see. Tied at her nape and waist, he could see her smooth toned back. Her hair was tied up in a pink bandana and Dan wondered how long it was. Her short denim cut off skirt gave just a peek at toned, heart shaped butt cheeks. His gaze traveled lower and he had to stifle a laugh. She had on four-inch spiked cowboy boots. Pink, no less.
Dan’s breath caught as she cursed and leaned over to pick something up off the ground. He had to wonder if she knew he was there. She took a deep breath and leaned over from her waist. He swallowed, mouth suddenly dry. Raising his binoculars he confirmed what he thought. No panties; not even the teasing peek of a thong. As she bent he had a perfect view of her ass and pussy. His cock grew, throbbing to come out and play. She either thought it was too hot for panties, or she liked to go commando. Either way Dan was appreciative.
She stretched further, spreading her legs slightly. Dan wanted to run his hands over the curve of her ass and sink into the delicate pink folds he was staring at. He stifled a grown. Her lips spread as she arched down with a groan, giving him an unrestricted view of her snatch, daring him to fill it. Her clit, which was nestled there, peeked out like it wanted to be noticed. Boy did he notice!
Dan sat there on his horse, cock aching as she moved. She twisted and turned with grace, giving Dan an eyeful. She paid no attention to her surroundings as she looked through the lens taking shots. Dan loved curves and she had them in spades. Not only did she have a world class ass and a pussy that was just begging to be fucked, but the bandana top she wore barely covered her. White, it was damp and clung to her breasts showcasing her pink nipples through the fabric. So large, they had to be triple-D’s. He swallowed.
Dan realized Mike’s warped sense of humor was why he said he had the perfect photographer. Shaking his head at Mike’s choice Dan grinned. Sending this particular bombshell with triple-D boobs to the Triple D Dude Ranch was right up his alley. Watching them quiver as she moved, Dan wanted nothing more than to latch on and suckle them until her nipples hardened and stood out. Dan groaned watching her, knowing he would have to call and thank Mike.
His jeans grew even tighter. Dan shifted on his horse, becoming more uncomfortable as he watched her. Fumbling, watching through the binoculars, he unbuttoned his Levi’s, hissing as he scraped against the denim as his cock sprang free. Letting the reins rest across his leg and making sure his horse would stay steady, he grabbed and fisted himself. Pumping, he imagined he was inside the pink glistening pussy of the wannabe cowgirl, he tightened his hand.

One look ignites a smolder between Dan and Blaire, one touch sparks a wildfire that burns out of control, hotter than the Texas sun.

Blaire had gotten a freelance assignment, sending her from Chicago back home to Texas. She was taking pictures of a dude ranch for the Tribune, an up and coming vacation spot for the city slicker. Blaire couldn’t help the wildfire of desire that ran through her at the uninhibited cowboy she finds in the lens of her camera.
Dan remade his ranch, making it a go to vacation spot being featured in the vacation section in a Chicago newspaper. Expecting a freelance photographer, Dan couldn’t believe the hot and sexy urban cowgirl that arrived, camera in hand.

EXCERPT
It seemed more and more lately that no matter how hard she tried, he looked right through her. It was infuriating and heart breaking. She'd had enough heartbreak during the past year to last her a lifetime. Her mother had been sick battling cancer all last year. Unfortunately she’d lost the battle. She’d made sure to pass on information to Mary while on her deathbed though.

Something Mary had never seen coming. She was adopted. Her world felt as if she had lost all control.

The adoption information that her mother had left with her will quickly found its way into the trash. Why would she want to find someone who didn't want her? She had enough instances of that in her own home. She did wonder, after a year, if she had reacted too rashly. You never know when you'll need family, and if she met her biological mother maybe she could figure out who she was, inside and out.

Mary plopped herself on the bed and let out a huge rush of air. There was no way Joe hadn’t noticed her outfit. She had bought it specifically for their ten-year anniversary night.

She remembered how she had anxiously awaited this evening and decided that she would make it perfect no matter how she was feeling. Every year on this day, they left the house at four twenty five and drove to the lake where he had romantically declared his undying love and proposed to her. He always hired a horse drawn carriage. The prancing steed would take them from the lake to a lovely candlelit dinner for two. After having one too many glasses of wine and a wonderful meal, they would enjoy a leisurely stroll to the theater. Wicked was currently playing on Broadway, and she couldn’t wait to hear the music that made her soul dance and her heart soar. Re-reading the book several times had her excited, and she knew the night would be perfect.

Then reality reared its ugly head.

Carefully she unlaced her corset and tossed the silky white thong in the corner; it still held the dampness from her unquenched desire.

"I can't believe I wasted my time and effort on this. Sometimes my husband is such a jerk," when she took a look around it dawned on her that she was talking to herself. Another deep breath and swish of hair and she mused, "I guess its okay to talk to myself as long as I don't answer back, huh CC?"

She slipped her silk robe on quickly and snatched the cat from his slumberous repose. He squirmed to free himself but Mary kissed his little nose first. "Don't be like your daddy, at least notice I'm here." She placed the cat gently on the bed and started her morning ritual. Getting ready for work was the last thing she was interested in.

AUTHOR BIO
Writing books has been a long time in coming for me. When I was younger, my father and I lived in a town where a kid could run the streets all ‘willy nilly’. When I was old enough to babysit myself I was off and running. To where you may ask, the library. At the time the library was in an old shop on a street in town. The children’s books were in the back room and that was where I spent my days. I was never without an adventure in my hands, and I never failed to finish the summer reading program with books to spare.
My love for reading didn’t stop there. My mother is an avid reader and she acquired most of her books from a exchange shop. You would purchase your books there, and return them for partial credit and get more. One night I was left with a bag of to be returned books. It was a Piers Anthony book, Night Mare to be exact. I devoured that book and any other that he has written. I currently am the proud owner of at least 70 of his books. I’m working toward getting them all, I wish he’d quit writing so quickly.
The writing bug caught me when my 12th grade English teacher wanted to use MY essay to show the class. He put it on projector film and everything. I was so excited. The assignment was to pick a month and write about it. Of course, being the child that I was I had to be difficult about it. The rest of the class chose June, July, April and went on and on about how lovely and warm and all of the fun things you can do. Mine was about December. I still remember the first line (and may have the transparency somewhere in my mess); December spreads her snow-filled wings and covers our world in cold despair.
From that paper on, you couldn’t stop me from writing. I found a few poems I had typed on an actual manual typewriter, and became a poet. I had a recurring nightmare, I wrote it down. I dreamed a dream and if I could remember it (which is harder now that I am older) I wrote that too.
In 2003 I started my first full blown manuscript. I still only have four chapters completed, but I swear I will finish it someday. I guess the short attention span has brought me full circle on writing short stories.
So, I guess that’s where I am today. Waiting for the first query letter to come through and make me a published writer. People ask me if I am a writer, and I firmly believe and tell them YES. I write, so that makes me a writer. I may not be published yet, but I will be.
I absolutely love to get email though sometimes with the scattered mind of a writer it takes a few days to get back to you! So please forgive me if I don’t get back to you right way, but I CERTAINLY will get back to you!
