Sneak Peek Sunday from my very latest WIP, a paranormal romance

This Sunday take a sneak peek at my very latest WIP
The Night of the Horse
A lonely young woman signs up for dance lessons. Two gorgeous guys find her as fascinating as she finds them. On the country road where she lives she hears horses in the night, and opens her bedroom window to watch them gallop. So beautiful, a silver white horse and tall black horse...they turn to stare at her. Had they heard and understood when she sighed over them?

Rosie stood in the shop doorway hesitating. With a tinkling of the bell the door opened and standing before her was a man. Rosie found she was looking at his chest because he was taller than she was by a head and some. He was muscular. She could see that even though his denim shirt was quite loose. She looked up into his face. The man was beautiful. His eyes were such a dark blue they were almost black in the shade of the doorway. His eyelashes were long, thick, and definitely black. His hair was almost black. It was clean, glossy, and long, but tied back. She stared up at him.
He looked down at her and then began to smile.
“Are you coming into the shop?” His question voiced in a friendly tone, made Rosie smile too.
She nodded. “I was about to inquire about the dance lessons…I saw the poster.” She explained because he was blocking the way.
The man was watching her closely and Rosie could feel it. It was as if he was taking a mental picture of her.
“I’d love to see you there. Come in and sign up.” He turned and pushed the door open again, holding it for her so that she had to pass close to his body. Rosie enjoyed the proximity, letting herself dream for a moment that she could be held in his arms, pressed against that muscular chest.
“Thank you,” she said, expecting him to leave the shop then, but he followed her to the counter to pass her and go around to the other side. Another young man came out of a small office situated towards the back of the shop and almost jogged down to the counter. He too was very attractive. His short, spiked hair almost white it was so blond. His eyes were a gorgeous chocolate brown, and his smile lit him up as he moved around the dark haired man to talk to Rosie.
“How can I help you?” He asked, and Rosie saw a flicker of amusement pass over the dark haired man’s face. She looked past him to the other man.
“Well I’m thinking of enrolling for dance classes.” Her heart was beating quite fast and she realized she was nervous around these two gorgeous men.
“You must…she should don’t you think Jude?” The blond man stood alongside the other man now, addressing him.
“I do.” His answer was accompanied by a sultry look directed at Rosie. She felt confused for a moment because it had been so long since a man had gazed at her with any interest, and now as she looked from one man to the other, she saw they were both interested in her. A wave of elation mixed with fear welled up in her and she almost ran out of the shop.

June 9 Post
from The Horoscope Writer

“We are finalizing the lease Dominic so maybe I can drop round later.”

Dominic nodded. “Yes of course, sorry. Pleased to meet you Cassandra, maybe I will see you around when you take over the studio.” He wanted her to turn those smoky eyes back on his face but she didn’t, instead she murmured a weak agreement to his suggestion as she faced Jeremy, and so Dominic left the room.

He didn’t want to go, he wanted to stay and talk to Cassandra. He wanted to feel the silk of her hair between his fingers, and yes, he would like to kiss those lips. He was shocked at his reaction to her because even though he knew he was lonely, he hadn’t expected to feel devastated by a woman just turning and looking at him.

Dominic stood in his cottage doorway and watched for Cassandra coming out of Jeremy’s office.

It was cold and his jacket wasn’t warm enough so that when she did come out, and start to stride up the lane, Dominic was freezing and was not very quick off the mark. He jogged a little to catch her up and as he neared her he called, “Cassandra.” He had no idea what he was going to say next and when she stopped, and turned to him she didn’t seem very pleased to see him.

“I know how bad Jeremy’s coffee tastes, and I was thinking maybe if you had the time I could offer you a decent cup before you ride out into the cold.”

It had just come out of his mouth and he was thankful for it. Cassie’s heart sank. She didn’t know what to say, or how to act. The gorgeous man in front of her was offering her something, but she didn’t know what.

Cassie had her bike jacket on and carried her helmet. She was not as tall as Dominic was, perhaps only just coming up to his chin in her biker boots when she turned to him. She was by necessity independent, and faced with the pain of trying to be sociable, or don her disguise of strength, she started to put her helmet on.

“I’m in a hurry sorry,” she said curtly because of her shyness.

Dominic’s expressive eyes exuded disappointment. He seemed crushed and Cassie felt sorry. Sorry that she was so shy, sorry that he was genuinely disappointed, and something happened to her, she wanted to be with him.

“You know maybe I will have some coffee after all. It is cold and exceptionally so once on the bike.”

Dominic broke into a smile of sheer happiness and glowed with it. Cassandra felt a wave of shyness because he was so beautiful when he smiled, but she fell into step with him as he led the way back to his house, and opened the door for her.

Sneak Peek Sunday and a quick look at my newest WIP a vampire erotic short

Beta teaser for Sneak Peek Sunday from my WIP.
I wrote this short for an anthology submission. I had an idea but couldn't see it as longer than a short story. As I wrote, I discovered I would have liked to make it far longer than the 10K limit. It's currently in editing. 18+ only

A Little Mysterious (Excerpt)

****

It took four weeks for the customer to speak to Daisy apart from giving his two orders. During those weeks, he watched her serve at the bar. She felt his eyes on her. When she was out at the tables clearing the used dishes she would secretly look at him. She found him so attractive her heartbeat would speed up when she saw him push the smoked glass door open, and enter the bar.

He was unusually pale. His hair was blond and his eyes a shade of ice blue so that the overall impression of him was ethereal. When he had first walked in six weeks ago, he wore square, black sunglasses. His overcoat was heavy and black too. His collar was turned up and the sleeves were so long they almost covered his hands. The weather had warmed considerably since then. He kept the sunglasses, but now wore a black jacket over his black jeans.

Daisy liked the way his eyes were fringed with long dark eyelashes. She thought he wore kohl until she was close to him talking, when she saw his eyelash line was naturally dark. He was very good looking. His mouth was enticing. Daisy longed to run her fingertip over those perfectly shaped lips. He was tall and muscled. He wore a gray marl T-shirt under the jacket. He never wore anything different. Daisy wondered if it was a uniform of some kind.

In the past two weeks, she had learned that his name was Dhruv. It added to his strangeness. Daisy had never heard the name ever before and found it exciting. He told her he was just passing through the town, and Daisy laughed saying he’d been around a fair few weeks to be passing through. They had not exchanged other personal information and only made small talk.

Tonight it was past nine when he walked in.

Chapter Two

He walked in behind a group of other people and straight to the counter. There were no free stools, but bizarrely as he stood in the gap between one row of four and another, two people stood up leaving their newly served drinks and left. Dhruv sat down and waited until she approached him. He declined service from her colleague and it made Daisy smile. “Hi Dhruv, what can I get you?” She gave him a special look. It said he could ask for anything he wanted.
Dhruv waited for a few seconds before he answered. He leaned on the counter top with his elbows and returned her look. “I think you know, Daisy.” There was more said in his tone of voice than the words.

They gazed at each other. Daisy was mesmerized by his beauty. She gave an involuntary sigh as she looked at him. She wanted him so badly it made her dizzy. Each night she thought about him as she lay in bed waiting for sleep to overtake her. He would kiss her, not waiting long to put his hand inside her panties and feel her. Feel the throb between her legs, as she got wet wanting his fingers in her, wanting his cock in her. It made her needy and she sometimes had to reach her fingers down and stroke her clit for relief.
