Welcome
Lee Brazil thank you for visiting the blog today
Tell
us a little about yourself,
I'm
a retired teacher of grammar and composition. I write primarily MM romance,
including a few historical stories and a few paranormals, although the majority
of my work is contemporary romance.
What
books have you brought along to tell us about today?
The Aristocrat and His Servant is a Heated Exchange Short Story- it's
strictly erotica for those who don’t mind a little less romance.
Are
you working on another book right now?
Right now I'm working on the sequel to Loving Eden, called Loving Bailey. It's the
story of the boy who had a crush on Eden…Drew's son.
What
do you enjoy most about writing?
I
enjoy creating characters and giving them the happy ending that so often eludes
us in real life.
What
do you like the least?
Paperwork.
Writing blurbs and bios and all that "stuff".
Would
you like to see any of your books as movies?
Sure.
I'd like to see movies of my books, but I know nothing about the process, so
it's not likely to happen.
Can you name any actors you would like to see as the lead characters in your
book.
Um…
not really. I'm horrible at names, though I do think that actor from Sherlock
would make a stunning character J
What
things do you like to do to relax?
I
read, cook, and garden.
Do
you have another job as well as writing?
I'm
a retired teacher.
If
you could have one super power in your existence, what would it be?
The
ability to do laundry with the snap of my fingers.
If
money were not an object, where would you most like to live?
The
Italian countryside- vineyards and mountains and rustic beauty all around
What
kind of car would you have if money was no object?
One
that a chauffeur would drive me around in
What’s
your favorite food?
I'm
so fickle in this department. My favorites change all the time. BUT I have to
say, nothing really beats a good piece of cheese and bread.
Favorite
color?
Green.
Can
you think of a song or piece of music that could be your theme tune?
Tom
Petty – Even the Losers (Get lucky sometimes)
Just
answer these questions as quickly as possible.
Chocolate
or vanilla?----- chocolate
Dog
or cat?---- cat
The
film or the book?----- book
Jeans
or dress? jeans
Beach
or Snow resort? Beach
Heels
or flats? barefoot
What
do you love best about yourself? Practicality
What
do you like least? Impatience
Do
you have anything to share with other authors that might be a help?
My
best advice is to wait a week to read through a draft- look at it with fresh
eyes and you'll see things you missed before.
Is
there anything you would like to say to your readers?
Thank
you so much for supporting my efforts.
Can
you share one of your favorite parts of one of the books?
EXCERPT
From Under the Pier
At
the front of the line, he caught a glimpse of a familiar head, and brushed the
counter, studied the man he'd come here to meet. This wasn't Sloan of the
library, in his button down shirt and neat khakis, or Sloan of the coffee shop
in his quirky T-shirt and soft faded jeans. This was an entirely different
Sloan, an incredibly sexy, slightly intimidating Sloan.
"Wow.
You look fantastic." He took in gleaming brown waves of hair, the golden
skin of a long time California resident, not like his own pale northern skin.
Sloan wore a hint of make-up. His lashes curled thick and dark against his
cheeks as he coyly lowered his lids. Some slick shiny stuff on his lips teased
Mitch to lick it off.
Their
gazes locked, and a familiar tide of heat swept through Mitch. The heated green
gaze hinted at a reciprocated feeling from Sloan. Sloan's eyelids drifted shut,
breaking contact, and when they raised again, all traces of that passionate
glance were hidden in depths made mysterious by bold black liner and a smudge
of green powder.
Sloan
accepted a crisp sugar cookie cone with a swirl of vanilla ice cream sprinkled
liberally with gaudily colored gummy bears from the clerk, and Mitch hastily pulled
a crumpled twenty from his pocket to cover it. He contemplated the disgustingly
sweet looking treat in repulsion.
"Hey,
I got it." Sloan protested, shoving his own bill at the clerk, who stared
at them through narrowed eyes, lip curled in an impatient sneer.
"No.
You're my date, I pay. My momma raised me right." Mitch lifted a brow in
challenge. He waved the bill at the clerk who took it and made change swiftly.
"I'm
not your date." Sloan brought the cone to his lips, and deftly used his
tongue to pry a gummy bear from the creamy white ice cream. Mitch stifled a
groan, his body heating at the sight of Sloan so blatantly enjoying the cool treat.
Sloan dropped the five in the tip jar and stepped away from the counter. Mitch
allowed his gaze to drift down the other man's body, taking in his short
fluttering skirt and bare tanned legs.
"You
said if I could find you in this crowd, you'd be mine." No way he'd let
Sloan back out on him now. He wanted more than ever to taste Sloan's sultry
lips. To maybe, he shivered, sample the vanilla cream as it melted in the
heated cavern of his mouth.
"You're
kidding right?" Sloan stared at him through narrowed green eyes. Mitch
ignored the glare and looped the tan hand with its delicately painted pink
nails through his elbow. The simple contact sent prickles of awareness up his
arm. He gently steered Sloan through the crowd to a crosswalk that led back
over to the ocean side of the highway.
"No.
Why would you think I was kidding?"
