Thorn turned to her. He picked her up and carried her along
the rest of the path.
Grace laughed and nestled her face into his neck.
Thorn put her down on her feet at the top of the path. He
smiled at her. It felt as if he’d always known her. Her presence comforted him,
even though it made his heart hammer in his chest with desire for her.
