Santiago’s words whispered across his lips. “Perhaps we’ve each met someone to love.” Be teased from #newrelease #MMromance Dear Heart @parr_books @evernightpub #gayromance

Dear Heart

Aiden Flint goes on vacation with three friends to Pamplona, Spain. Seeking excitement, they will run with the bulls in the festival of St. Fermin. As the four friends enjoy the nightlife, they notice an attractive man watching Aiden in the bars they visit. In the warmth and heady atmosphere of the exotic city, Aiden takes a chance and approaches the handsome man.
Enigmatic Santiago Arista is sexy, kind, desperate for love, and achingly lonely. He’s just about given up on finding love, until one warm, summer night, sitting alone in a bar, he sees gorgeous Aiden. He’s elated when Aiden joins him at his table.
Deep attraction swirls between them. At the end of the night when they share a kiss, Aiden can’t believe the bliss that enfolds him, but have both men found someone to love just when fate is about to throw Aiden into mortal danger?

Read a teaser

Aiden poured some beer into the glass and sipped at it. He assessed Santiago as he replaced the glass on the table. He’s fascinating, polite, maybe shy, different, cultured—and yet, sex exudes from him. I bet he’s dynamite in bed.
Santiago’s low voice interrupted his thoughts. “I wonder if you’d take a walk with me. The old town is interesting, even at night.”
Aiden’s heartbeat sped up. The lure of being with Santiago in a place he might hold him close and taste his kiss brought a smiling assent from Aiden. “That’s a great idea.”
On the narrow sidewalk, when they’d left the bright lights of the bars behind, Santiago took Aiden’s hand.
Excitement rocketed through Aiden. He took a deep breath, and on a dimly lit side street, he turned to Santiago and dragged him close. He molded the length of his body to Santiago’s, breathing close to the gorgeous man’s lips. “Kiss me,” he whispered.
Santiago responded.
The gentle merge of his lips with Aiden’s sent wonderful melting sensations through Aiden’s body. He clung to Santiago, taking kiss after kiss, lingering in the delectable embrace, pressing his hips to Santiago’s, breathing with the gorgeous man, sighing at the same time, until his legs weakened with raw desire.
Santiago drew only a fraction away from Aiden’s mouth. “Your kiss is addictive. I don’t want to stop. I feel your need against my body, and I want to ease it.” He held Aiden’s face and kissed him again.
Waves of exquisite feeling rolled through Aiden. He murmured softly, incoherent sounds of pleasure onto Santiago’s lips each time they broke contact to breathe. His thoughts tumbled in those seconds. The kisses were the best he’d ever experienced. He’d never before felt the kind of sensations running through and over him. He rested his forehead on Santiago’s.
“I’ve never had such totally amazing kisses. I’m floating in pleasure.”
“Me, too, I want you so much.”
Santiago’s replying whisper teased on Aiden’s lips.
His stomach clenched. His cock grew harder. Pure sexual need zinged in every cell of his body.
A group of people shouting and laughing turned into the street. Their approach forced Aiden to drop his arms from Santiago’s waist.
Santiago’s eyes flashed silver in a sudden shower of light from a door, thrown open to welcome the group. Regret filled his expression. He gazed with longing at Aiden. “Dear heart, walk with me.” He turned.
Aiden followed, his ears full of the endearment Santiago had assigned to him, his body drifting in delight, and love seeding in his heart for the man he’d only just met.
The river ran in a loop close to the old quarter, and Santiago clasped Aiden’s hand in his as they crossed a medieval bridge.
Aiden enjoyed the gentle strength surrounding his hand. He walked closer to Santiago.
“Do you live nearby?”
“In the old quarter—yes.” Santiago stopped and turned in an elegant move to Aiden. He held Aiden’s hands in his. “I wish you wouldn’t participate in the running tomorrow, or ever … I fear for you.”
Awash with sensation from Santiago’s palms pressed deliciously on his own, Aiden snatched a kiss from the man whose tone held affection and concern. The kiss brought a purr of delight to Aiden’s lips. He took another delicious kiss then murmured, “You called me dear heart…”
Santiago bowed his head. “You don’t like that.”
Aiden pulled a hand from Santiago’s grasp and slipped it around his face. He gazed into Santiago’s bright eyes. “I do like it.” Aiden smiled gently at the man who intrigued and lit him with desire. “Who are you really, Santiago? I feel wrapped in passion, cared for … and yet … well, we’ve only just met.”
Santiago’s words whispered across his lips. “Perhaps we’ve each met someone to love.”
Tingles ran up Aiden’s spine. The words were full of portent. He’d welcome love, and the way he felt kissing Santiago was the best ever. Yet, he couldn’t let himself comment. It’s too soon. What if I fall in love with him and in a week’s time, I have to go home, to work, to my life?
He took refuge in Santiago’s anxiety about him running with the bulls the next day.
“Santiago, I have to join the bull running. My friends expect it. I said I would. That’s why we’re here. I would never live it down if I didn’t do it at least once. I confess I’m scared now, but I have to do it.”
His handsome companion crushed him close. “Then take care.” He ran a hand down the back of Aiden’s head, stopping to tangle gentle fingers in his hair.

Gay romance with an edge of fantasy, Snowflake Wine, new release #MMromance Read a #teaser

From Elodie

The story is contemporary gay romance with an edge of fantasy, especially written as a sweet but sexy Christmas treat.
Jamie Snow and Nathan Bloom, my characters are as usual, dear to me.

Jamie has battled all his life with his strange, fantastic gift. His is the character that brings the element of fantasy to the story. The inspiration behind the creation of this character came, weirdly enough, in the summer, when I visited a ruined abbey. In the grounds were flowering shrubs that I’d never encountered before. From a distance, the flowers looked like frost, and as I drew close, into my mind came the idea of Jamie, a sprite who loves cold, ice, frost, and to comfort himself in the warm weather, he decorated the shrubs with frost flowers.

Nathan Bloom is the perfect partner for Jamie—gorgeous, calm, loving and open. He’s looking for love. He’s onto Jamie’s gifts long before he lets Jamie know it. This is a love story—romantic, sexy, hopeful.

Blurb

Hunky Nathan Bloom works late for the company putting up the town Christmas lights and decorations.

Gorgeous, enigmatic, Jamie Snow works late forecasting the weather from his desk in the meteorology office.

Nathan sighs over the prospect of a holiday season with no one to love.

Jamie wonders if he’ll ever find a man to love who will accept his mysterious origins and talents.

One cold night, as Nathan finishes hoisting the wreath lights up the building where Jamie works, they meet.

The brilliant festive lights aren’t the only things to sparkle as the two men connect on a deep level.

Be delighted by a delicious, contemporary, gay romance with an edge of fantasy this season.
Sometimes being different is awesome.

Read a teaser:

Jamie Snow sat alongside Nathan. He glanced across at the man who stirred his frosty heart. He’s so attractive. Jamie hadn’t loved in a long time. He felt more than ready for it—longed for it on lonely nights. He wasn’t about to give up on the chance that this man might want a lover, that he was gay wasn’t in question. No straight guy looked the way he had at another man.

“My name’s Jamie, Jamie Snow.” He softened his voice as he spoke. The man beside him inspired tenderness and he felt a little prick of guilt. Using the weather to flirt with him had been inspired but maybe a little naughty.

Nathan drove the truck into a wide car lot that Jamie hadn’t known existed behind the furniture store on the end of the main street. “Here we are. The store allows us to leave the bigger rigs here every year. Jamie Snow—that’s an interesting name for a meteorologist—mine’s Nathan Bloom.”

Jamie’s smile infused his tone. “Yes. People tease me sometimes at work, they’ll know we’ve forecast it and as I walk by they’ll say, ‘here comes the snow,’ but I don’t mind. I like this name.”

“You’ve had others?” Nathan asked with a laugh.

Jamie didn’t want to reply. He waited. I won’t be lying to this lovely guy if I don’t answer.

Nathan turned off the truck engine and twisted to talk to Jamie. “It’s a cool name. Where do you live?”

It appeared he’d forgotten his question.
Happiness trickled into Jamie’s soul that the attractive man beside him liked his name, and used the word, cool. Eagerly, Jamie told Nathan his address on the outskirts of the town.

Nathan grinned, his eyes reflecting Jamie’s emotion. “I know it well. I live a couple of streets south from there.”

Read the tease

“Hi, babe. It’s great to see you.” The guy greeted Nate and then kissed him.

Nate’s entire body went into meltdown. The kiss was so real he grabbed the VR man and pulled him close, crushing against him.

The man returned the kiss but gradually drew away. He held Nate’s hand and brought him to a table outside the café. “Let’s get coffee. Did you eat yet? You look tired.” He reached out a hand and swept gentle fingertips down Nate’s cheek.

Surprised at the comforting gesture, Nate closed his eyes for a second to soak up the touch. He opened them and gazed at his VR boyfriend. “I’d like to hear about your day. I’m not hungry, coffee’s fine.” What will I call him? Does he have a name or do I just assign him one? Hell, he is gorgeous.

A server brought coffee. “How lovely to see you again, Jason, and you’ve brought Nate along tonight. The usual for you both?”

Nate blinked under the beaming smile from her. How does it know my name? Must read the credit card or Cory keys it in when he sets the room going.

She placed their cups on the table.

Jason. Nate smiled at his VR man. Yeah. I like that—a mythical name for an unreal guy.

Jason locked his gaze with Nate’s. Attraction and desire flared unmistakably in the cobalt eyes.

Nate’s stomach clenched. He leaned a little forward to take in the affection from his boyfriend’s expression. Comfort, warmth, and gratitude mixed with the urgent need to kiss Jason again. He looked down at the table, unsure how to go on.

Jason stood and pulled his chair along next to Nate’s. He sat and slipped an arm around Nate’s shoulders. “Hey.” Jason held his jaw and lifted his head. “Kiss me.”

Nate looked into the blue eyes.

Jason’s lips met his. He merged his mouth on Nate’s in a soft press then lingered, dotting little kisses on Nate’s parted lips, before slipping his palm around Nate’s head and deepening the kiss.

Overwhelmed with the tenderness and sex in the kiss, Nate pulled away and stood. “I have to get back to work.”

Jason stood, too. He made a grab for Nate’s hand. “What, tonight? That’s unusual. Will I see you tomorrow?”

Nate stared at the gorgeous man, shocked at the realistic way Jason’s voice held need and worry.

“Yes, of course. I better go now.” Unable to resist, he hugged Jason close. It was just as if he held a real man to his body. He soaked up the feel, let go of Jason, and strode to the wall where the door to the room had been. The VR scene provided a row of shops along the wall. As the dreamlike quality of the experience remained, Nate sighed and tried every one of the handles on the doors, until one swung inward and he charged out of it into the corridor. His credit card popped up from the device slot. Nate snatched it. He put it into his wallet as he walked the length of the corridor.

Cory drank coffee from a paper cup at his desk. He gave Nate a wave. “See you again.”

Nate passed him, dashed up the stairs, and raced along the corridor to the young woman’s desk at the entrance.

He called, “Good night,” walking quickly by her, and wove through the tables and computer desks until he pushed open the glass door and stepped into the evening air.

Nate froze in the cool breeze. He breathed deep. This was real. The café building behind him was cream brick, chrome, and dappled glass, the bank over the street serious gray stone blocks with an ATM inserted along one wall. Nate stalked along the sidewalk glad of the traffic nearby, happy with the occasional blast of carbon monoxide until he reached the entrance to the subway. He went down to the platform.

On the train home, he gazed ahead as he hung from a ceiling strap surrounded by late commuters. It’s as if I’ve been with a real person. I can just about feel his mouth on mine. Fuck, he’s hot. I wish he was real. Should I go tomorrow?

Yay, release day for sizzling #MMromance 'Love on Show' @evernightpub @parr_books #gayromance

Dishy Justin Harper plays gay bad boy, Brandon in a TV show that’s fast becoming a cult classic, but Justin hides the fact he’s gay in real life. When a new actor is cast to play his TV show love interest, Justin can’t deny the raging attraction he feels for gorgeous Caer Rossi.

Caer Rossi makes it clear he thinks Justin is smoking hot. He can’t wait for the kissing scenes, and they sizzle, but underneath the performance for the TV show, a deep, loving passion builds between the two men. Something has to give, but what and who will it be when a journalist threatens to ruin Justin’s perfectly crafted public persona?

Read a teaser

Justin Harper glanced in the rear view mirror at the guy who’d play his love interest, Stephen. There were loads of actors in his age group who suddenly burst onto the scene via a TV show, and Justin hadn’t seen this guy before. I wonder how good he is. I should have read his IMBD. He’s hot, smokin’ hot. He has no idea who I am. He ogled me. Yeah, he likes what he sees, and to be honest, so do I. It will be no hardship kissing him. The thought brought a smile to his face. Caer Rossi—never heard of him. He indicated and maneuvered the BMW into the stream of traffic heading toward the rural side of town.

The studios occupied a few acres of prime countryside. Justin had a cottage on the outer perimeter. Most of the actors slept in trailers, comfortable, but with impersonal atmospheres. Justin had done that for a few years and knew it could be unsettling never feeling quite at home. As the hero and long-term character in the series, Justin received special treatment. Petra told him he was spoiled.

Recently he wondered if he’d become complacent. When he’d started in the show three years before, he’d told himself it was a stepping-stone. He wondered now if it wasn’t fear keeping him in the show. Could he hack the round of auditions and rejections again? He didn’t know. He pushed the question to the back of his mind.

He roared the BMW down the highway ignoring the speed limit and sped into the studio lot where Caer Rossi was to meet with Petra the AD, Sam one of the writers, and—himself. Justin grinned at this.

He screeched the car to a halt and hopped out. He took a step to stride into the building then remembered he was pretending to be a runner and had driver duties. He spun around and opened the door for the actor he’d brought from the hotel.

“We’re here. I’ll take you to the meeting. It’s stopped raining. That’s a good sign, huh?” He leaned into the car to address Caer.

The man’s brown eyes met his and in them Justin read trepidation.

He experienced a wave of empathy. “Hey, it’ll be okay.” He reached in and grasped the handle of the duffle bag on the seat beside Caer.

Caer attempted to snatch it back, but failed, then got out of the car and smoothed down his suit jacket.

Justin closed the car door and flashed Caer a reassuring smile. “You look good.” Yeah, good enough to eat, in fact.

Gorgeous, powerful warlock, Indigo Vaughn, sells his magic spells to people looking to make a dream come true. One night, as he gazes down on the city below from his sky barge The Dreamboat, he wonders why, in centuries, his own wish for a man to love hasn’t materialized.
Beautiful, sexy, Darian O’Harr has suffered his fair share of misery. He’s a musician and learned long ago to sing for his supper. New to the city, he comes to Indigo seeking a spell that will bring him the love of a handsome man.

Read the first two chapters

Chapter One

“Good evening, your majesty.” His hand on his heart, signifying loyalty for his young queen, Indigo Vaughn bowed. He gave Lissabella a smile that made his handsome face even more beautiful.
“Indigo, it’s so good to see you. I wish you’d visit more often.” Into her eyes crept the usual flirtatious twinkle. “Dear one, you deliver my gift early again. One day you will delegate security on my birthday festival to someone else.”

She glanced at the trio of musicians who sat waiting in the corner of the room.
Within seconds, music filled the air. Notes so sweet, they resonated along the filmy wall hangings and translucent drapes at the windows, causing them to billow gently as if blown by a warm summer breeze.

Indigo looked kindly on the queen. He held out his hand knowing she expected him to dance with her—just one slow dance that fed her fantasy he might one day spend more time with her, even though he’d made it plain he preferred the company of men when it came to lovers.

Lissabella took his hand and rose. She slipped into his arms. “Closer.”

Indigo obliged, pulling her to his body as he led the dance. His steps lightened with magic, he swirled Lissabella around the room, until she laughed aloud, joy ringing in the words with which she always ended their dance. “A kiss, Indigo.”

He brought them to a standstill and softly kissed his queen’s cheek.

Her sigh touched him as his mouth left her skin.

Indigo led her to the ornate couch where she sat. “Thank you.” Her sad whisper brought him to his knees before her. He slid the ruby ring he’d brought for her from his little finger. It would need fitting. He held it up. The gem shot scarlet rays of light across the room.

Delight filled Lissabella’s eyes. She held out her hand devoid of jewelry in readiness for his annual gift.

Indigo smiled and slipped the ring on each finger until she chose one that suited. He drew away, summoned his magic, and wrapped his hands around hers. When he surrendered her hand, the ring would fit perfectly. A moment later, and he grazed her knuckles with his lips, before he stood.

“Goodnight now, Indigo.” Her gaze caressed him.

Indigo bowed and left her. The annual visit always forced a wave of sadness through him. He could never give her what she wanted and she knew that, had always known that he loved men. All the same, he took the long route back to his home, drifting over the city, and skimming the surrounding forests and rivers in his skeeter.

Finally, as he docked the craft at one of the entrances to his sky barge, the sadness lifted. He exited the skeeter and walked along the corridor to eat dinner before he checked his appointments for the next day.

Chapter Two

One year later

Indigo Vaughn stared down at the lights of the city far below. His sky barge, the Dreamboat, sailed majestically and wonderfully slowly through the night sky. The city and surrounding outer suburbs spread out like a twinkling jeweled carpet. Indigo sighed as his imagination took flight, and he dreamed up a beautiful man waiting there just for him. He will be muscled and tall, and have eyes that remind me of the deep blue sea off the coast of my Celtic home.

He drew in a ragged breath. The pain in remembering the far away and long ago place hit him like a spear in his heart. He forced himself on. I will twist my fingers in his night-dark hair and drag him to my kiss. His sexy lips will taste better than the sweetest wine, and once I have kissed him he’ll be mine forever. Indigo rested his forehead on the special glass of the window. He closed his eyes. He didn’t expect ever to meet this dream man. He’d lived for so long without romantic love he sometimes wondered how much longer he could withstand the crushing sadness of his empty life.
Indigo conjured the dreams of his clients, producing the spell for what they craved on the Dreamboat. Sometimes they lived their dream for the rest of their lives. Sometimes they simply fucked up the chance he gave them. Indigo opened his eyes and saw that the sky barge was over one of the huge lakes on the outskirts of the city.

Is it my eternal curse never to conjure my own dream? I shouldn’t torture myself. Perhaps this is my destiny, but a long life without love is no life at all.

He saw movement on the surface of the lake. Water boats crisscrossed the placid surface. Indigo left the window, exited his private quarters, and walked with all the grace he could muster to the consulting room. Two clients awaited him that night.

His assistant, Milan, greeted him as he entered the anteroom.
“Good evening, sir. The first of your clients is prepared.”

Indigo bestowed a grateful smile on Milan. “Thank you. I’ve read her request document and this won’t take long.”

He took a deep breath before he went into the consulting room. “Let nothing go wrong.” He always said this. It was his mantra to ward off anything bad, because Indigo, even after centuries, had never taken his magic for granted.

The woman’s request for the ability to speak a neighboring civilization’s language brought a smile to his face.
“Greta,” he shone the smile on his client, using the familiar greeting to put her at ease, “I will need you to close your eyes and then you will feel my hands on your head. A prickle of sensation will run from your forehead, down your spine and that will be it. The next time you meet your betrothed you’ll listen to him talk for only moments before you, too, will know, and use his language.”

The woman’s eyes widened and then she closed them.

Indigo placed his hands on the woman’s head. Her dark red hair springy in his fingers, he ignored the feeling and cast his mind into hers. He found fragments of the language she wished to speak. The knowledge merged with what he knew, and after gathering his magic, he whispered the spell that would make her dream true, sending it speeding through her brain and body.

She trembled under his touch.

He drew away. “There you are. All finished.”

Greta snapped her eyes open. “Thank you. I don’t feel any different.”

Indigo gave her a reassuring look. “That’s good. Tell me. Why not simply use a tech-translator? There are mechanisms now that are practically undetectable.”

She stood. “I want my betrothed to love me.”

Indigo watched her leave the room. He slipped the printout of her request document into the shredder thoughtfully, before he touched the button on the screen of his tablet computer that would tell Milan he was free.

Milan led the next client into the room. “Darian O’Harr, sir.”

Indigo kept his head bowed as if reading this man’s request document. Immediately Milan and the client entered, the room had filled with expectation, hope, and as Indigo finally raised his eyes to the client’s, the air sparked and charged with sexual attraction.

Indigo gazed at the man standing before him. His heart hammered in his chest as if trying to burst through the perfectly toned muscles and his dark shirt. Long ago he’d felt something like this, but the occasion was centuries distant. Right then, he could barely breathe with the sensation as he attempted to appear impervious to the sight before him.

“Good evening. I’ve read your request and can conjure the events to make your dream reality.” Indigo had to take a deep breath in order to go on. “Tell me, are you attending the festivities in the city the week after next for the queen’s birthday? The meeting will happen there.”

The beautiful man remained standing. He cast a glance at the chair positioned an arm’s length away from Indigo’s own seat. His ocean eyes regarded Indigo, filling with amusement and kindness. “May I sit?”

Indigo closed his eyes for a second. He couldn’t control the desire that zapped through his body. Amazed by his reaction, he forced himself to nod calmly. “Of course, forgive my discourtesy.”

Darian O’Harr gave him a smile. “Thank you. I am attending the festivities.” He drew aside his cloak, revealing an almost transparent cotton shirt that did nothing to conceal his hard muscled chest and, allowing the sides of the cloak to fall over his hips, he sat.

Indigo feasted on the sight of his client—dark, glossy hair, cut in a style that showed off the planes of his delectably handsome face and lips that enticed kisses. This man was his dream personified. It was heartbreaking. Indigo wondered if he really would be able to conjure the spell to give Darian O’Harr the lover he asked for. Indigo wanted Darian so much, his stomach ached, his chest hurt, his magic retreated under the blue gaze of the client.

He repeated his earlier assertion playing for time to gather his wits.
“I, er, I will conjure the spell so that your wish is fulfilled. I note, I note that you prefer men.”
Indigo glanced away from the expectant stare of this hunk before him. By all the stars, why do I meet a man who stirs my spirit when I have to conjure another man to be his lover? He gathered his magic as sadness weighed on his shoulders.

He drove away the thought, and concentrated. A place, a time, a man who loosely fit the description Darian requested. In his mind’s eye, he saw the man, walking past a small marquee, the night lit with fireworks to celebrate the queen’s name day. Try as he might, Indigo couldn’t see the man’s face for his cloak hood pulled low, but Darian was there. He saw the man hold Darian’s shoulders as if to hug or kiss him. Indigo didn’t like it, but he pushed for the spell to seal the meeting, and raised his hands to form his magic into a glowing silver sphere.

“Stop.” His client stood and grasped Indigo’s hands in his cool, strong palms.

The touch was electric. Tingles shot over Indigo’s hands and sparked up his arms. Desire rose and Indigo’s cock hardened. Indigo’s magic swept back into his body in an intense wave of energy. His eyes closed for moments as he took the shock and simultaneously attempted to quell his desire.
Darian O’Harr dropped Indigo’s hands. “Wow, sorry, I felt that.”

Indigo opened his eyes. Astonished by this, he stared at Darian. “What did you feel?”

The blue eyes regarding him, filled with interest. “It was as if an ocean tide pulled a wave from the shore.”

“Why did you stop me?”

Darian was silent for a few seconds, and then he answered softly. “I changed my mind.”

“Are you going to tell me why?” The words fell from Indigo’s mouth as his gaze ranged over Darian’s handsome face and settled on his lips. The urge to swoop on Darian and kiss him gripped Indigo. A tremble went over him as he pushed it away.

“I’d like to know how the process works.”

A frown creased between Indigo’s eyes. He sighed, telling himself there was no harm in telling Darian. “My magic is esoteric. I am not only a warlock. I’m also a seer. If there is a chance what someone wants is in their future, I can see that and help it along. I don’t usually control that part. It happens when I meet the person and begin the procedure. The idea is complex. I prefer using only my magic where possible.”

Darian gazed at him. “You see a lover in my future?”

Indigo heaved a breath. The thought Darian would have a lover other than himself cut deep. “Yes. He will be near a marquee at the festivities.” He lost his composure. “If you don’t want my services, you’re free to leave. Milan will return whatever you paid and call a public skeeter for your return to land.” He stood. The encounter was doubly unsettling. His sexual desire once wakened was intense, and now directed toward Darian, a man Indigo would never see again. Indigo strode from the consulting room.

Milan hurried toward him. “Sir?”

Indigo gentled his tone before speaking. Milan didn’t deserve to feel his irritation.

“Thank you, Milan, please assist Darian O’Harr to leave.” He swept along the corridor to his private quarters.
