Tell us a little about yourself

I am a mother of two; one boy and one girl that keep me quite busy. I grew up in a very small and idyllic town in New England and couldn’t wait to get the heck out. I currently live only twenty minutes from there, but I still got out J. I spent my college years getting a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature and then a Masters in Writing. It was during my Masters studies where my love of writing picked back up again and I decided to write on the side and ended up devoting as much of my free time to my re-found love. I currently write erotica and contemporary romance.

What book  have you brought along to tell us about today?

The main book I have brought alone to talk about is Consume Me. It is the second novel in The Devoured Club series and just released on 9/3/13.

Blurb: Emma O'Connor's interest in bondage and submission has led her to the training program at Devoured. With past sexual experiences less than par, Emma wants nothing more than to submit to a Master. With her need for pleasure and her desire to please , Emma finds herself exploring the desires that have remained subdued; although unsure if she could make a good submissive.

Marcus, the Dom in charge of the training program at Devoured, is more than interested in the feisty submissive. When Emma walks in for her interview, Marcus knows he's met his match. Consumed by nothing but thoughts of her, Marcus begins to doubt his ability to stay in control and his previous stance on collaring a submissive. Marcus finds himself unsure of his feelings for Emma, and his responsibility to the other trainees.

When a threat surfaces against Emma and her past comes back to haunt her, Marcus must admit his feelings for her in order to protect her, or risk losing her forever.

Join Marcus, Emma, and the rest of the Devoured Club Doms and Subs in the second installment of the Devoured Club Series.

Devour Me, the first novel in the series is available for purchase as well.

Blurb: Love is giving him the power to destroy you but trusting him not to…-Unknown

Chloe Harper has lost all trust in men. After a BDSM scene gone wrong, Chloe never thought she would be able to explore her desires or trust again. Three years and a lot of pain later, Chloe finds herself face to face with Professor and BDSM club owner, Lucas Walker again.

Lucas Walker has spent the last couple of years protecting himself and his heart that is until his research assistant Chloe Harper walks into his office with a bruised face. After a confrontation with Chloe and her abusive boyfriend, Lucas vows to protect her at any cost, even if he loses himself in the process.

The two begin a journey of healing, trust building and explorations of desires. But is it enough for Chloe to overcome her abusive past and Lucas to release the control he desperately craves and thrives on…or will their pasts devour them?

Are you working on another book right now?

I am currently working on the third novel in the series, Dominate Me as well as editing my newest contemporary rock romance. Very excited about these two. Crossroads is anticipated for release around Christmas and Dominate Me’s anticipated release is Spring 2014.

What do you enjoy most about writing?

What do you like the least?

The thing that I enjoy most about writing is the freedom that I have. Writing is almost therapeutic for me. I am able to share my ideas and stories with readers and it helps sort out the abundant amount of ‘voices’ in my head. Just kidding. I enjoy crafting a good story and sharing it with the world.

The least enjoyable thing about writing is the editing, although I think all writers hate the editing portion. A necessary evil, and yet the most important. I tend to get nervous when I release a book, hoping that the readers will enjoy it.

What things do you like to do to relax?

I read or hang out with my family. I enjoy simple activities and enjoy just spending time with those I love.

Do you have another job as well as writing?

I do. I am an office manager for a restoration company and I am in charge of processing all the insurance claims.

If you could have one super power in your existence, what would it be?

The ability to read minds. It might be a burden, but I really want to know what everyone is truly thinking.

If money were not an object, where would you most like to live?

Honestly, London. I absolutely love that city and would spend all my time in the English countryside.

What kind of car would you have if money was no object?

Nothing Special, just an Audi A7 hybrid.

What’s your favorite food?

            Penne a la vodka

Favorite color?

            Purple

Can you think of a song or piece of music that could be your theme tune?

Nothing specific, but I am drawn to rock… I like guitars! LOL.

Just answer these questions as quickly as possible.

Chocolate or vanilla?----- vanilla

Dog or cat?---- Dog

The film or the book?-----  the Book

Jeans or dress? Jeans!

Beach or Snow resort? Beach.

Heels or flats? Flats, flip-flops if possible.

What do you love best about yourself?

My caring nature.

What do you like least?

My procrastination

Do you have anything to share with other authors that might be a help?

Just keep writing. It is probably the most given advice, but it is the most important. We cannot excel in our profession without doing. The more you write, the more you read-the better writer you become. Never give up. It is not an easy industry and very competitive. You have a reason you are writing, keep true to that reason (we all know it’s not the money)! LOL. Keep true to yourself.

Is there anything you would like to say to your readers?

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Without you I wouldn’t have an audience for my stories. I appreciate every single one of you!

Read an excerpt

“What are you doing here, Marcus?” I asked as I made my way around him to go and lock the door.

“I wanted to see you, Emma. Nothing wrong with that, either.” His hand caught my abdomen as I tried to maneuver my way back around him, pulling my back tight to his chest. “You smell good.”

I tried to pull away, but his arms held me tight. “I smell like frosting, pastry and cake batter. But, hey, whatever floats your boat.” I shrugged my shoulders as he let me go. I headed to the work table to put away the fondant pieces.

Marcus had stopped in the door way, and was now leaning against it. The man was hot, and even though I tried hard to not let my libido be affected by him, I failed. Miserably. His dark hair currently hung down over his forehead into his eye, as he watched me place the fondant pieces onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. “Want help?” he offered standing straight and walking toward the counter.

“It would go faster. Soooo…” I let the word linger in the air. “Again, why are you here?”

“Well,” he started as he washed his hands and took another cookie sheet from my pile, then looked around for the parchment paper. “I wanted to see you. See if you maybe wanted to grab some food.” He looked up at me, and I handed him the roll of parchment and continued placing my pieces onto my sheet.

“I already ate, but thanks anyway.” I finished filling up the sheet I was working on, and began toward the walk-in.

“Why are you being so cold tonight?” I heard him ask as I entered the refrigerator. I paused before answering. Why was I being a bitch? It wasn’t like we weren’t talking.

“I guess I just can’t read you, Marcus. One minute it’s ‘I want to be professional’ and the next minute, you’re texting me all the time, and showing up. It’s confusing, that’s all. And, to top it off, you haven’t told me much about you.” I returned to the metal workstation and pulled another cookie sheet. There were about three hundred fondant pieces that needed to be put away. As I grabbed the parchment paper, I turned, and walked into Marcus’s rock hard chest. I hadn’t even heard him move to me.

“There’s nothing to be confused about, Emma. I enjoy your company, and I want to see you outside of the club.” His hands encircled my waist and pulled me tight to him. His fingers grazed my chin and tilted my head up to look at him. “As for me, ask away. Anything you want to know, I will tell you. But first…” His eyes bore into mine, and I felt the familiar buzz of electricity hum between us.
