The very cool and interesting author Ray Sostre has dropped by for an interview and with information about his book Forgetting About What Happened

Welcome Ray Sostre, thank you for visiting the blog today

Tell us a little about yourself

Hey Elodie, thanks for having me here. I’m an erotic romance author and the founder of an up-and-coming site AfterDark Online, a place for erotic romance authors where it offers a chance of discovery.

I live in the United States – the great state of Nevada. I’ve been writing erotic romance since 2010, and this happened to me by accident, and I’m proud of my work, and yes, I even use my real name to the stories I write. The genres I write is m/f contemporary (mostly), f/f erotic romance, and ménage. Much of my work may include certain east coast roots, which was where I was raised, but I’ve adapted the west coast roots as well.

What book have you brought along to tell us about today?

Right now, I have one book that was released in November 2012 called “Forgetting About What Happened.” It’s a holiday romance like this…

Forgiveness during the holidays can be painful, especially if Jeremy wasn’t Monica’s first choice. After Monica realizes that Jeremy was the one, she tries to win him back in her life by confessing her true feelings for him. But it is up to Jeremy to decide he should forgive and move on in being with her.

Are you working on another book right now?

Yes, I am; in fact, several of them. I’m right now working on my erotic comedy “Service With A Smile”, based on actual events that occurred in the hotel industry that I’ve worked a couple of years ago.

At the same time, I’m re-working on my completed story, but never published – Darla <3’s Tyler Series “About The Night Ride Home.” A story about a guy who meets a girl from his night ride home and ends up seeing her, until he discovered her true intentions of being with him, which causes them to break up. Two years later, they meet again, but this time under different circumstances, where the two end up being together, but how?

I’m also working on my attempt to write a five-flame story – a ménage story about a guy and two girls that share a weekend. They all grew up together, but a one-night stand will change it all. The name of the story is called “The Weekend.”

Another story I’m working on is “Finding Possibilities” a cougar romance about a woman who just turned forty and met a guy at the bar to help celebrates her birthday, and ends up having a relationship. But she wondered if this guy was too good to be true.

I’ve got another one which is a f/f erotic romance, and I’m working on a sequel to the series “Her Angela & Protection – Sincerely Yours” But this one is about both Angela and Vivienne have some issues to resolve from their past relationships. Angela had an ex-girlfriend that returns from Iraq, begging to take her back, while Vivienne has to deal with her ex-husband – Gary.

And lastly, I’m working on a m/f contemporary – “Snow Day” a story about a guy named Lorenzo who falls in love with the boss’s daughter – Saana that just came home from college. They end up falling in love, and kept their affair from their father, which he disapproves his daughter to see any man from his company. But that didn’t stop them from rendezvousing at a luxurious hotel, where Lorenzo ditches work to spend the day inside the suite. Another attempt to make a five-flame story.

You are so busy and it will be great to see the books published Ray.

Tell us, what do you enjoy most about writing?

I’ve been a writer since 1990, while I served detention in New Jersey – lol. Anyways, I’ve always enjoy coming up with ideas that pop in my head.

What do you like the least?

Ugh… writers’ block, and add not having enough time. *SIGHS* If I could make a full living out of this, you’re damn-right I would. But bills have to paid. *SIGHS*

Would you like to see any of your books as movies?

To be honest, I don’t know. It’s not an aspiration I’m truly looking for, because I want to focus on getting my work known and build up a good fan-base. I’ve been back to writing for the last three years, but I only have a few books published; two which I’m promoting to be known.

If you decided yes you would like to see them as movies,  can you name any actors you would like to see as the lead characters in your book.

LOL, good question, and that took me some time to really think. And to conclude, I have no one in particular that comes in mind.

What things do you like to do to relax?

Got my bottles of Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and my smart phone, laptop, or computer to play my tunes like electronica or whatever mood I’m in when I write. Most of the time, I’ll use silence because my girl is sleeping during the day.

Do you have another job as well as writing?

I’m a Food & Beverage Manger at a hotel-casino in my town. I work nights on weekends and swing on weekdays, and it’s a true learning experience. It’s what actually pays the bills right now.

If you could have one super power in your existence, what would it be?

To be impervious. Everyone wants to be telepathic, but when the event happens, you do want to be invincible, regardless of the odds against you.

If money were not an object, where would you most like to live?

Lake Tahoe, California or Reno, Nevada. I’m a city-boy, yet, I like the nature world.

What kind of car would you have if money was no object?

Chevrolet Camaro, or if they bring back the Monte Carlo. I’m a coupe kind of guy. I have no kids, no family of my own; just a girlfriend of many years, and I need a ride that is best for me and my woman. I currently own a Monte Carlo – a 1997 though, but I’d love a new one.

What’s your favorite food?

Feed me sushi for breakfast, then I’m in heaven. I’d settle for Porterhouse Steak and Lobster for dinner. Or anything seafood and good.

Favorite color?

Sky blue… It’s relaxing and inspirational.

Can you think of a song or piece of music that could be your theme tune?

“I Like It” by Narcotic Thrust. A little trivia, it’s a song inspired to my re-work-in-progress “About The Night Ride Home.”

Just answer these questions as quickly as possible.

Chocolate or vanilla?-----

Vanilla. I can blend it with anything.

Dog or cat?----

Cats, easier to clean after.

The film or the book?-----

The film.

Jeans or a suit?

Cargo Pants with a Suit Jacket  - LOL.

Beach or Snow resort?

The Beach! Hell yeah!

What do you love best about yourself?

That I’m different than everyone else.

What do you like least?

I have to take the good along with the bad. I have no regrets of my life and my person.

Do you have anything to share with other authors that might be a help?

Yeah, don’t be afraid to learn something new. Just because you got it figured out, doesn’t mean you can’t learn. Learn to adapt, but don’t forget where you came from. In end, it defines who you really are when you’re there. Most importantly, don’t quit on yourself. Keep writing if it’s what makes you happy. I know it does for me. I look forward to it everyday.

Is there anything you would like to say to your readers?

Wow, thank you so much for all the compliments and love. Ever since my first self-published book “Their First Night Together”, and yes it was rough around the edges with my writing, but it created attention and defined my writing style. I want to say thank you for your true support. I’m nothing without you guys.

Can you share one of your favorite parts of one of the books?
excerpt up to 550 words.

Gladly…

Here is one up to 517 words.  A Work-In-Progress of my cougar erotic romance story “Finding Possibilites.”

Again the kiss spun them away from reality. The only thing that mattered was the two of them as their mouths learned each other and tasted each other’s passion. Darius was growing hard under his jeans; he couldn’t wait to get her out of her clothes. He felt her hands run along his shoulders and his back. Her soft, sensual curves pressed against his body.

Faith pulled away, purring, “Oh Darius, you’re a great kisser.”

He smiled confidently, “You too.”

Darius pressed his lips against hers, slipping his tongue inside her mouth. His tongue met hers with aggressive swirls, tasting her hunger. He placed his hands under her cream-colored sweater, pulling the smoothness of her skin against him. His cock ached for her and he pressed it against her.

Faith, in return, ran her hands down over the firm flesh of his ass. She couldn’t wait to get his shirt off so she could run her hands and lips all over his chest. She too ached for him to be inside her, but first she wanted to see his sculpted body. And touch. And taste.

They both watched each other undress intently; even though they had already seen each other, it was a tender moment, as if they were seeing each other for the first time.

Darius unbuttoned his shirt and shrugged it off. He watched Faith lift up her cream-colored sweater and stared at her beautiful figure. She was amazing; full-figured, sexy, and –gorgeous! Darius concentrated on unzipping his pants without getting hurt and dropping them to the floor. He took in Faith’s lacy white bra, just asking for his touch. He continued watching Faith as she undid her jeans. When they dropped he finally got to see her, once again, this time in a white thong. Her body was beautifully proportioned. He couldn’t believe his hands were going to be on something that beautiful. He could spend the entire night just touching and exploring her body. Well, maybe more than that.

Faith also remembered Darius’s body causing that delicious ache between her legs. His body was just one reason why she wanted to sleep with him. She watched as he pushed his boxers down and stood back up. Naked. Vulnerable. The sudden wetness and warmth at her center accompanied an even better imagination of him on top of her, pressing into her as she ran her fingers over his sculpted pecs and abs. She needed him now.

Darius, naked, walked across the room to her and kissed her. He sucked on her lower lip and pulled her kisses into his mouth. With one hand buried in her hair, the other hand groped for her thong and yanked it down past her cheeks.

Faith managed to reach behind her back and unhook her bra, but she didn’t get to take it off; she was too caught up in the passion between them. She shivered when she felt his warm, hands cup and squeeze her ass. Her thong was still hanging halfway down her thighs, and she could feel his hardness pressed against her.
