Get your vampire
fix with mysterious, sexy Dhruv…
Dhruv
picked up his coffee and for an instant, she thought he would drink. He didn’t.
He put the cup back down as if his thoughts had interrupted his intention to
drink.
“Do
you ever have a free night, a night when you aren’t working here?”
She
was surprised and delighted by his question. He was going to ask her out.
“I
can take time if I want to.” She waited as he stared at her. He licked his
lips. She wanted to put her mouth against his and have her lips licked too.
“Could
you leave early tonight? It would be great to take a walk with you. I live
opposite the park, the one with the duck pond. It’s very beautiful in the
moonlight. I love the night. It’s so calm and supportive.” It was the most he
had ever said to her in one go. Daisy smiled, enchanted by his low voice and
graceful words.
“I
can leave early, and I’d love to walk with you.” She didn’t give one thought to
the fact that she knew very little about him. The spell of his beauty, his husky
voice, and the lure of being alone with him drove any safety considerations
from her mind.
He
had never smiled, but now he did, and it lit his face.
“Soon,
let’s go soon.” His eyes didn’t leave hers. Daisy thought she might vault the
counter and run away with him right then.

He’d been sent off course…he thought he was lost…until he found Daisy.
His vampire abilities were special. He belonged to an elite group. Moving home, they are set off course by a storm that lands Dhruv alone, hungry, and desperate in a strange town. That’s where he meets Daisy.

"A Little Mysterious is a steamy love story guaranteed
to burn up the sheets and the story of how Dhruv came to find Daisy was
fantastic. Although this is a short story, Parks packs it with all the right
details to make us not only care about the characters, but about how their story
turns out."
