Kiss kiss from An Unusual Vacation @evernightpub @elodieparkes #romance #adventure #midweektease

Dominic held back from holding Michelle’s hand, although he desperately wanted to touch her again. The intense and unexpected pleasure that zoomed through his stomach into his cock when she shook his hand teased him. He wanted that again. He waited at the stairs to go down to the exhibit so Michelle might go ahead of him.

As she passed in front of him, he instinctively moved to place his hand in the middle of her back, but couldn’t allow himself the contact. He breathed in the soft perfume of her hair as it swung in a heavy fall when she turned her head to gaze into his eyes.

The unspoken invitation in her expression gave him courage and he quickly stepped to be close beside her. At the bottom of the stairs, he took her hand to walk to the area of the gallery where the paintings hung. Pleasure shot through him both from her smile of acceptance at his touch, and from the contact with her soft skin.

He barely saw the paintings this time around. He watched Michelle smile and exclaim delight at the color and light in the artwork. He soaked up her touch as she held his arm or his hand. Dominic’s imagination ran riot. Michelle made his heart beat faster. He imagined being in bed with her, naked, kissing her hard, hearing her moan as she came. His gaze settled on her shapely thighs as she went ahead of him to the final painting in the exhibition. Those shorts were great. Made of a different fabric from the jacket, but almost the same color, along with her fuck-me heels, they made her look as if she’d stepped off the cover of a magazine. She’s so beautiful.

She turned to him and smiled.

His stomach clenched. He walked to her. I have to keep her in my life, at least for a little while. “Will you have coffee with me? There’s a good café next door. I’d like to talk with you. Do you live here in town? Do you have time for coffee?”

Michelle’s expression told him she was going to say yes, before she answered. “I’d love to have coffee with you.” She held out her hand.

Dominic took it and led her from the gallery.

Her heels clicked on the pavement. The bright umbrellas over the tables at the café fluttered in the warm, gentle breeze. Everything appeared brighter, lighter, and more hopeful. Dominic pulled out a chair for Michelle. He ached to kiss her ear, revealed as she sat and pushed her hair over her shoulder. He sighed without knowing it as he drew away to take a seat opposite her so that he could gaze at her.

“That was a big sigh. Is everything okay?” Tenderness filled her voice and that’s when Dominic knew for sure the deep attraction he felt was mutual.

“Everything is perfect. I’m happy we met. So, do you live in town?” Greedy for information about her, he leaned forward and shifted the small pot of flowers to one side from where it sat in the middle of the table.

“I don’t live here. I’m on vacation. What about you?”

“Me, too. I’m on vacation. I sailed here from the city yesterday. My yacht, or I should say, my dad’s yacht, is in the marina.”

A server showed up at the table. With coffee ordered, Dominic wanted more information.

“How long are you staying here?”

Michelle hesitated for a moment. “Well … I haven’t decided.” Her eyes darkened at him as she leaned closer into the shade of the umbrella.

Dominic read in her eyes what was unspoken. She’ll change her plans for me … wow.

Take a river cruise with dishy Dominic Carr, but be careful to look over your shoulder because danger is following.

Curiosity and appreciation of the man’s looks had Michelle twisting around to check him out as he stopped in front of a huge seascape. The T-shirt stopped high enough to give her a good view of a hard, muscled ass in his jeans. His dark hair was well cut, but just long enough to curl at the nape of his neck. Michelle eyed the breadth of his shoulders appreciatively. She was still staring when he turned around and looked right at her. A jolt of attraction sped through her body. His eyes were the most gorgeous shade of green. She rapidly took in the shape of his mouth. Her stomach clenched as she experienced a powerful urge to taste those perfectly kissable lips. Crap, he’s gorgeous, she thought, and looked away as a smile appeared on the man’s handsome face. A flush of embarrassment warmed her throat at being caught ogling him. She wished she wasn’t there to spy on the meeting. It had been a long time since a man had captured her interest so intensely.
Irritation brought her to stand. She grasped the burner phone, but as she considered messaging Connor, the man spoke.
“This is a great gallery, isn’t it? Did you see the Monets?”
Stunned by the fact he’d approached her, Michelle gazed up into his handsome face. He was at least a head taller than she was even in her four-inch heels. For a few moments, Michelle hesitated under the spell of attraction that wound around her.
He smiled and it charmed her into smiling, too. “I haven’t seen them yet.” Spurred on by the obvious interest in his eyes, she continued, “I must. Have you … seen them … yet?” Usually confident, Michelle practically stuttered.
“I have, but I’d happily look again. They’re beautiful and I doubt the tour will be back this way for a number of years, if ever. Dominic Carr, and I’d love to have your company.” He held out his hand in a business-like way as he introduced himself.
Michelle stared at his hand and then coming to her senses, shook it. She told him her name as his strong hand enclosed hers. The contact with his skin spiked tingles up her arm. She knew she shouldn’t go to see the Monet exhibit with him, but somehow the words escaped.
“Michelle Vega, and I’d like that.” In fact, I’d like to do anything with you. The thought flew through her mind before she berated herself. What am I doing? I have to find out about Brad and Connor. This is so unfair. I’d like to spend time with this guy. She backpedaled. “The thing is I have to meet some friends, but maybe another time?” Michelle said the words with a heavy heart. Never had she wanted to be with anyone the way she wanted to take up Dominic’s offer of seeing the paintings with him. Fate had finally seen fit to let her meet a man she felt incredibly drawn to, and she couldn’t take the opportunity. Sadness drifted over her. She saw disappointment cloud Dominic’s green eyes. He likes me, too. I should do something … say something to let him know I’m interested.
“You know what, I’ll call them. There’s heaps of time to catch up with them, and it’s a loose arrangement to meet. Let’s go to the Monet exhibit.” Instead of feeling guilty that she was flaking off the job of spying on the meeting, elation swept through her at the decision to spend time with Dominic Carr.
Pleasure glowed in Dominic’s eyes as he smiled at her. “I’ll let you call your friends, if you’re sure?” He moved away to stand in front of the seascape again.
Michelle stared at the screen of the cell phone for a few seconds. What am I going to say? Hey, guys. I’d rather spend time with a stranger than … The cell phone rang. Startled, Michelle almost dropped it as shock spread dull warmth through her. She answered. “Yes.”
Connor’s voice came back cryptically. “Yeah, it’s over. At the car … long story. Where are you?”
Michelle kept her voice low. “Take the bro with you. I need the car. Will catch up later. Want to shop.”
She heard Connor sigh heavily and it brought a smile to her face.
Then there was amusement in his voice as he said, “Shop. Sure. Later then.” He ended the call.
Relief that she was free to be with Dominic raised her spirits. She smiled as she approached him. “All fixed.”

Dominic’s answering smile sent melting sensations through her. Michelle followed him along to the stairs as he talked happily about the exhibit.

I originally expected this story to be a short, but as the plot developed and the characters took over, the story grew and grew, and still there’s more to tell, because one of the supporting characters, Connor, is going to have his own story.
Dominic Carr, my hero and Michelle Vega, my heroine, couldn’t be more different, but they are instantly drawn to each other and the resulting passion between them is intense. Dominic’s hopes are high, making him vulnerable. Michelle is involved in a dangerous lifestyle far removed from Dominic’s, but she’s lonely. This opens her up to taking chances when she meets Dominic.
I love water, rivers, and the ocean. They have their own very special atmosphere, and I wanted to flavor the story setting with the sounds, and smells of sun drenched harbor towns, wide rivers and boats, to provide contrast with the suspense element of the story.
When you read the story and Dominic sails away on vacation. Think Monterrey or the marinas in the Caribbean or the Florida keys. The sky is Grecian blue, the air and water sparkles. There’s the smell of salt and sea, and wheel of seagulls as the couple walk on the quay together.

He sat on the edge of the bench seat in the living area, where he and Michelle had enjoyed such delicious sex. Maybe that’s all it was for her—sex … a vacation fling. He gazed at the door to the deck hoping she’d suddenly appear there, or he’d hear her calling to him as she boarded the boat. Disappointment that she’d apparently ditched him flooded his heart in surprisingly heavy waves. He took out his cell and called the number he’d stolen again.

Shock replaced the sadness when a pre-recorded voice informed him that the number was out of service. The cell phone was no longer in use. He frowned, then called the number again and got the same carrier’s message. How odd. That’s weird. He pushed his cell into his pocket as he stood and went on deck. Twilight already. Dominic slumped on the chair Michelle had occupied that morning as they’d drunk coffee and ate croissants as if everything was great. As if we’d fallen in love. I must be a complete fool. I never saw this coming. We were supposed to sail off today and go fishing. Why tell me she wants to spend the whole of my vacation with me, and then bolt? If he could have reached her by phone then he might not have felt so down, but as darkness fell, Dominic became more convinced she wasn’t coming back.

He hadn’t eaten since breakfast so at nine that night, he made a sandwich, but after taking a couple of bites, he left it on the plate. He checked the news again, just in case there’d be some explanation for Michelle’s non-appearance. He checked for a wireless signal on his cell phone and after joining a cloud, cruised the news sites looking for anything that might indicate a road closure, an accident … anything that could mean Michelle was stuck at the cabin.

As he lay fully dressed on his bed staring up at the swath of stars through the skylight, Dominic added up all the indicators that Michelle hadn’t meant for them to have anything more than a vacation fling. After all, her holiday would be just about finished. Then he remembered the way they’d made love. He called it that, preferring to think maybe the tenderness had meant she cared for him. Dominic closed his eyes. He’d fallen for her. It was hard to admit, but he hardly knew anything about her. He’d imagined she’d fallen for him. He fell asleep wishing things hadn’t gone the way they had.

Fucking hell, I don’t even know the actual address of the cabin. I have no way of finding her. I was so hungry for her love, the sex, the companionship, I let her off telling me stuff, let her off answering questions.

Driving down the coast to the cabin, Michelle’s thoughts tumbled around. I couldn’t let him come. What if the place is trashed? How would I explain that? How would I get the diamonds? No, I had to do that. Dominic, darling sweet Dominic, I’m sorry …

She entered the track to the cabin and pulled up alongside it as usual. Driven by the need to get back to Dominic and make things right, Michelle grabbed the cabin key, and left her purse on the floor. She left the car keys in the dash and ran around to the door of the cabin. This will only take a couple of minutes.

Michelle unlocked the door and dashed into the cabin. She came to a stop as she registered the disarray, then walked rapidly into the kitchen. Things were moved around, but it didn’t look as if the intruder had opened the freezer. A chair was tipped over, saucepans and crockery were out of the cupboards, but not broken. They’d been placed on the work surfaces. Michelle was about to check the freezer when she was grabbed from behind.

Strong arms gripped her, keeping her arms clamped to her sides. She bucked backwards trying to break the hold. Her attacker left one arm around her, and grabbed her around the throat with the other hand. He jerked her head back and talked in her ear.
“Stop struggling. I don’t want to hurt you. Where’s the guy who lives here?”

Michelle winced as he grabbed her hair and pulled hard. “That hurts. I don’t know... I-I was just renting the place for a vacation.”

The man bundled her against the wall and thrust his knee between her legs. He pushed her head against the wall. Her face was squashed against the cool white plaster. His forearm trapped her as he pressed it onto the middle of her back.
He doesn’t want me to see him.

“I’m serious. It will get nasty if you keep lying. I saw you together. It was obvious you knew each other well. Where are the diamonds and the painting?” He knocked her head against the wall with considerable force.

Pain shot across her forehead. She muttered. “I have no idea what he did with the stuff.”
She heard a gruff sound close by her ear. The man’s aftershave was potent and she felt nauseated.

“We’ll see what you mean to him, shall we?”
He turned her in one violent move, grabbed her hands, slapped on handcuffs, and pulled her by the hair to sit on the nearest upright chair. He wound her hair around one hand and with the other he brought a cell phone out of his jacket pocket and used his thumb to call someone.

Michelle waited, her gaze fixed on his face. It’s the assistant, Probert’s assistant, the other client … Johnson. If he’s trying to call Connor, the burner’s destroyed … hell. She squirmed under the punishing sting as the man yanked at her hair.

Michelle turned in the shelter of Dominic’s outstretched arm, and slipped her arm around him.
He smiled with pleasure and held her around the shoulders as he led her across the parking lot and along the walkways to where the River Sprite was moored.

The soft slap of the river water, warm gentle breeze, and yellow lanterns lighting the boardwalk provided a special atmosphere. Dominic helped Michelle aboard and after unlocking the cabin, showed her in with a grin. “Welcome to the River Sprite. I’ll make coffee. You can look around if you’d like to.” He turned into the galley to start making coffee.

“It’s much bigger than I expected. I’ve only been on smaller motorboats.” She gave herself a quick tour.

Dominic heard her opening doors and making sounds of delight. He’d poured boiling water on the coffee granules when she appeared by his side. He turned to her. “I made instant. It’s quicker. White, black, sugar?”

Michelle smiled as she answered. “Black, no sugar, thank you.”

“Would you like cognac? I have some French stuff I bought yesterday.” He handed her a cup of coffee.

Michelle took the cup. “That sounds good. Just a little, please.”

He found glasses and brought the cognac from out of the supply cupboard. As he splashed the dark amber liquid into each glass, Michelle closed the gap between them. Dominic placed the bottle of cognac carefully onto the worktop. Michelle’s proximity sent little shocks of desire through him. Acutely aware of the way her hair fell gently over the satin skin of her shoulders, Dominic’s gaze traced a path along where he wished his lips might follow with kisses.

She put her coffee cup down next to his, and in one move slid her hands up his chest and leaned against his body.

Dominic instinctively put his arms around her. He kissed the top of her head as she nestled her face against his chest. His eyes closed as a wave of tenderness flowed over him. A faint scent of roses filled his head.

Michelle looked up into his eyes. “You feel good. Do you work out?” She ran her hands around on the muscles of his chest.

Even through the black T-shirt he’d worn with his suit, her touch ignited desire and his cock stirred. His heart did a weird flip and his stomach tightened. He nodded, unable to trust his voice not to betray the urgent need to fuck, which gripped him as she ran her hands around his hips and actually grabbed his ass.

She ran her tongue over her top lip as she stared up into Dominic’s eyes and that was it.
Dominic bent his head to hers and captured her mouth in a kiss that weakened his thighs.

He slipped his hands around her face to hold her until he’d kissed her breathless. Hot streaks of desire burned over his stomach and his cock jerked into an erection. Her tongue against his sent shivers down his back to pool under his balls. Soft tendrils of her hair caught under his palms as he held her face and bit at her bottom lip when he broke the kiss to let her breathe.

How soothing can an orange Popsicle be? #MFRWHooks #teaser #romanticsuspense

Her head ached. Her stomach churned and hot tears stung behind her eyes. She swallowed them down.

Johnson was back. He took the handcuff from the steering wheel and replaced it on her wrists, but then he put an orange Popsicle into her hand.
“It’ll help the lip.”

Stunned by this, Michelle muttered. “Thanks.”
She held the Popsicle against her cheekbone, and its white paper wrapper crackled. She tried to pull it off.

Before he started the car, Johnson, reached over and slid the wrapping off the fruit ice. He stuffed it in the door compartment and drove off.

He waited for her orgasm to finish enjoying the sounds she made. Sweat wet under his hair at the back of his head and he pounded into her as his orgasm ripped over him. His hips did their own thing. His cock pulsed out his cum, and his balls were so tight and high, his ass cheeks clenched hard. He couldn’t breathe with the intensity of the orgasm, and he struggled to stop himself from collapsing over her. He dropped palms down on the mattress as he pressed his face into the soft skin of her neck.

Michelle turned her face and kissed his cheek.

They were naked. His hard cock pressed against her stomach and she gave a little jump to wrap her legs around his hips.
A low grunt escaped from his mouth and she smiled against lips.
“That feels so good,” he said. “I could lift you up, drop you on my cock, and fuck the breath out of you, right here against the galley wall.”
Michelle’s stomach flipped and her clit pulsed. Cream throbbed from her pussy and she clung to him. “Do it.”
He levered her against the wall and slid his erection up slowly into her. The stretching and filling closed her eyes with lust as she pressed her face into the side of his neck. She opened her mouth to suck on the soft skin there. He filled her pussy to the hilt before pounding up into her. Her clit rubbed on his shaft and the slide of his cock into her made waves of pleasure, oh so close to those of an orgasm. She grazed her teeth on the soft part of his shoulder. Her fingertips dug into his muscled shoulders. He shifted his hands as he lifted her higher and his fingertips brushed the skin between her pussy and her ass. An orgasm shocked through her. She clenched her inner muscles as a long moan of pleasure burst from her mouth and she bucked her hips.
Dominic drove his cock into her in rapid strokes. He crushed her between the galley wall and his body as he came, groaning against her shoulder.
They clung to each other, catching their breath and murmuring softly.
After a few moments, Dominic gathered her tightly to his body and turned with her. He carried her over the bench seating along one side of the living area and sat down on the edge carefully.
Michelle swung her legs down alongside his calves. Her knees pressed on the deep padded front of the seating. She brought her hands around his head and kissed him gently.
His cock throbbed in her pussy. He ran his hands into her hair and returned her kiss with a sigh. “Thank you, Michelle, for that, for being you and being here with me.” His voice became husky and he looked away from her face as if emotion overwhelmed him.

He came moaning and gasping, his forehead on her shoulder as he collapsed there. His hips slowed. He lay between her legs and kissed her where his mouth contacted the soft part of her shoulder.

She stroked the breadth of his shoulders and up the back of his neck to tunnel her fingers in his hair. Words failed her. This was the best sex she’d ever had. Tenderness filled her. Sated and happy, she kissed his neck where she could reach.

He murmured a low sound, not even words, and leaned in to take more of her lips on his neck. Then he turned his head trying to reach her lips with his.

Michelle smiled and tilted her head to receive the kiss and drift in the haze of pleasure his kisses brought.

He took a breath and whispered. “It’s way too early to get up. Let’s sleep, and then go out for breakfast. I want to keep you with me as long as possible. Do you need to go back to your vacation place?”

A warm glow spread over her. Joy lit inside her. “I’d love to stay. My dress isn’t exactly breakfast café style …”

He didn’t let her finish. “We could buy you things. I’d love to buy you things. I want to wrap you in … in …”

Michelle instinctively knew he wanted to say love, but stopped himself. The L sound had hovered. She helped him out. “In a sundress…?” She shifted her face up to his and kissed him.
