This case is bizarre. Is there a hidden reason the client has chosen their newly formed agency for such an important job?

Lucian’s gaze traced the planes of Beau’s face. He lingered soaking up the sight of Beau’s enticing lips, and then looked quickly back into Beau’s attractive green eyes. “Sure, but I did work with that PI in Salem during vacations, remember? Hey, Beau, it’ll be easy for you. A couple of week’s solid work and you’ll be licensed. What are you worried about?”

Beau smiled and leaned close. “Now you ask, since you believe in me, not a thing.”

Lucian’s heart flipped. Sometimes, when Beau was near, Lucian had to drive down an urgent need to kiss him. Lucian couldn’t even imagine what would happen if Beau discovered how he felt. He preferred not to dwell on the possible answers. He moved back from Beau’s proximity. “That’s okay then.” Lucian slipped away, and walked to the window of his study, set up in the second bedroom of his waterfront floating home. He opened the glazed door and stepped out onto the rain-drenched balcony.

A second chance gay romance with a touch of suspense

5 star MM romance
Hawk v Falcon is a second chance romance and that thrilled me since that is one of my favorite tropes! This story is wonderfully sexy without being over the top but that is not all it is.

Chris and Justin connect in a super charged way. The game of cat and mouse with these two is fantastic. Though it's charged, it's like the refreshing rush you feel with a static charge. I hope that makes sense. They felt on the cusp of exploding and that made their moment just right.

Elodie Parkes is unique in her writing because she really makes her readers work for that HEA. You're not 40% into the book and they are all lovey dovey and you have to endure fluff for the next 60% of the time. No no no! That's not how this works.

This became a very emotional book. Justin's past is utterly heartbreaking and the last decade hasn't been easy for him. Now, after all that; Justin's crazy ex-boyfriend is hellbent on removing Chris from Justin's life. I told you it wouldn't be easy.

This is a suspenseful, emotional, love story. Elodie Parkes truly knocked it out of the park in all the areas here. I recommend this book completely!
AND
The author gave us a bit of everything – stalkerish MC, insta-love, hot salacious sex scenes, a well thought out plot, a bit of angst and a masked and unmasked love story. Thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to see what this author has up her writers sleeve next?

Josh is shocked to discover he can’t forget Will.
They want each other. Their chemistry is scorching.
But Josh is running in the opposite direction as Will longs to love him.
Can love triumph?

Read a teaser:

Josh saw Will at one end of the bar and his heart leapt. Flutters started up in his stomach and he took a deep breath trying to steady himself. The encounter had rocked him to the core. He’d never in his wildest dreams expected to feel the way he did about a man whose name he still didn’t know. I want to, though. I want to know all about him. I want him in my life, and from the way he responded, he wants me bad. That’s great. I need it.
He watched the play of emotions cross Will’s face as he approached and stood close.
“Hi. I’m Josh Winters and you are…?” He grinned mischievously.
“Will—Will Trenton.” Will’s eyes held warmth, affection, and desire.
A spark of recognition lit in Josh’s mind. “That’s a familiar name, but I wouldn’t have been able to put a face to it. Are you famous or something?” He gestured to the bartender.
“A beer thanks—and for you?” He gave Will a tender look designed to tell the guy he liked him a lot.
“The same but let me … let me get them.”
Josh shook his head. “We have a tab.”
He saw a look of worry flit through Will’s eyes.
“It’s really okay, Will.” Josh moved even closer to Will. The toe of one boot touched the toe of Will’s. He gazed into Will’s eyes. Time slowed for Josh. This man was even more attractive close up with his handsome face lit by the bar’s sparkling white downlights. He took in the shade of stubble and wanted to bite Will’s chin. He ached to grab Will and thrust his tongue between those perfect lips. He recalled the way Will’s thick hair had felt as he grasped a handful. Softness filled his stomach. He didn’t know if this was love, but it sure was tenderness.

Hawk v Falcon: Surprise at the Candy Apple

When Chris Falconer receives an email from his lost high school friend, Justin, ten years after he last saw him, Chris is overjoyed. The two boys had shared kisses and sworn love for each other, but before their love could be tested, Justin’s mother abruptly took Justin out of school, and they disappeared.
Multi-talented and handsome Chris is a cage fighter at Jack’s Clubhouse, and works in the Candy Apple club. He writes a column for a fitness blog and keeps himself busy, but deep down he’s never forgotten Justin—turns out Justin has never forgotten Chris either.
On a modeling assignment in New York, Justin sees Chris in a cafĂ© and can’t help contacting him, but his ex, Todd, who doesn’t want Justin but doesn’t want Chris to have him either, has plans to throw their reunion into disarray.
So begins a love story full of emotion. Will Todd succeed? Or this time, will Justin and Chris have the happy ending and delicious love they deserve?
In the second MM romance from the Candy Apple series, I picked up on the character Hawk, the Dungeon Master in the Candy Apple. Chris Falconer is Hawk to the dungeon surveillance staff, but to others he’s a lonely man who often thinks about his past with regret. To the audience at Jack’s Clubhouse, where Chris cage fights and provides display fight bouts, he’s a thrilling sight.

Chris is:
·         six foot, two
·         has dark glossy hair
·         has deep blue eyes
·         is kind and gentle
·         writes a blog for fitness and fight fans
·         loves sex and giving his partner pleasure
·         is muscled and handsome
·         when he’s not fighting, favors black suits, or a leather jacket
·         is intelligent, multi-talented, calm and sophisticated
Justin is:
  • a fashion model
  • six foot two
  • has dark hair
  • has clear blue/gray eyes
  • is lonely and had a stressful upbringing
  • has never forgotten Chris
  • needs love
  • has lived in Denmark for many years
  • is hesitant and yet as soon as Chris begins to take care of him, he blossoms

Their story is sexy, romantic, sad, and happy. No one is more surprised than Chris when he is contacted by long lost love Justin and he will do anything to give Justin the love he needs.

Read an excerpt:
Justin walked a pace behind Chris. It was such a relief to be near Chris, Justin’s fatigue threatened to overwhelm him. Every muscle in his body felt heavy. His gaze traced the broad shoulders and muscled thighs of the man in front. Chris’s hair was well cut and his suit obviously expensive. Chris was even taller than he’d been when Justin last saw him in person, but then so was he. Justin smiled as a wave of tenderness crept over him followed by a sharp need to feel Chris’s lips on his. He still loved Chris. He’d expected to find it was all in his head, that the love was confined to memories, and real life would show him he was mistaken, that love couldn’t last this long.
They were in a corridor when Chris turned to him. “I’ve thought about you so much, I’m a bit ashamed of myself for clinging to your memory, when you never called, when you just disappeared.”
Justin’s heart fell. Was Chris about to reject him now they were away from the bar, the friendly barkeep, and bright white glow of the downlights there? “I’m sorry...”
“No. I meant ... I mean I still care for you. I couldn’t ever shake it. I never got over you and it’s been ... it’s been so long—you know I sometimes felt weak for not letting go.”
Justin gazed at Chris’s handsome face. “I thought about you.” He slid his hand along Chris’s jaw. “I want to kiss you, so much.”
Chris closed the small gap between their bodies as he grabbed Justin’s head and brought his mouth down on Justin’s. Justin’s breath left him in a soft murmur. His eyes closed in pleasure. He clung to Chris, desperation to stay with Chris, never to go home, gripping him. All he could think of was starting again with Chris, of the delicious drifting sensation that overcame him as Chris pressed close. He kissed Chris over and over until he couldn’t breathe, and Chris held his face away a little whispering words he’d longed to hear against his mouth and dotting tiny kisses there between the phrases.
“Justin, stay here, in the club. I can’t let you go, but I can’t leave work. I still love you. I want to know where you’ve been all these years. Where do you live? You must be a club member. I’ve not seen you here before. Can you stay until we close? It will be late, but then we can talk—we can be together.”
Justin closed his eyes and leaned his head on Chris’s shoulder. “Yes.”
Chris folded Justin in his arms.
Justin stayed within the comfort of the embrace until he knew he had to let Chris get back to work. He raised his head and stepped away.
“I should let you work. I’ll hang out at the bar.”
Chris gazed into his eyes. “Thank you.” He kissed Justin gently. “Hell, you’ll never know how good it feels to kiss you again.

Hi Chris, I wanted to contact you for years. Release day #MMromance with a dash of suspense from @EncompassInk #gayromance

Hi Chris,

I wanted to contact you for years. I missed you so much. I’m sorry it’s been so long. I still picture your face. I still have the T-shirt you gave me when we got soaked in that storm. I still crave your kiss. If that’s pathetic, I don’t care. I wish we’d done more than kiss. I wish I had the memory of making love with you to sustain me. I saw you on the street one day recently. At first, I wasn’t sure it was you, but it was. I couldn’t help contacting you. I’m sorry. I hope I haven’t stirred up painful memories. We tried so hard not to love each other. Do you remember how great it was when we admitted it? I’ve never loved anyone the way I loved you. I still love you. I wish things had been different. Always yours, Justin.

Bring ice #MMromance lovers as Tom and Scott finally get together #erotic #gayromance @EncompassInk

They crushed together, kissing, ramming their rock hard cocks on each other’s stomach, and grabbing at each other’s ass.
Tom whispered onto John’s lips as they broke to breathe. “I can’t take much more. I need to come badly.”
John pushed him to sit on the padded dining chair that served as a desk chair. He ripped open the condom pack, his breath coming in short harsh bursts. He rolled the condom onto Tom’s cock. “It’s well lubricated, that’s cool.” He leaned over and licked along the seam of Tom’s lips.
Tom sucked at John’s tongue, but John drew away and smiled. Tom threw his head back, sweat trickling between his shoulder blades as he tried not to lose it. The feel of John’s hands on his cock brought a long groan from Tom.
Then in a swift move, John straddled Tom’s lap and lifted his hips so that his cock provided a sexy sight for Tom. Tom bent his head intent on licking John’s cock, but it was obvious John had something else in his mind.
Tom waited. His breath caught.
John found Tom’s cock with one hand, and guided it against the tight ring of his ass. Then John was taking Tom’s cock into his ass in a firm slow slide that just about sent Tom crazy. He’d never experienced this. He’d never had a man in this position. It was exotic to be face to face with his cock in a guy’s ass and a huge cock to stroke between their stomachs.
John leaned and kissed him. “I’m going to fuck you, fuck me, too. Ram into me. Grab my cock and jerk me off as I slide on you. You are so fucking hot.”
Tom’s balls lifted at the words. He grasped John’s cock, sheathing it in both hands to jack him off. Tom gazed into John’s lust glazed eyes and watched John’s masked face as he slid up and down, his ass clenching on Tom’s cock. Tom’s eyelids closed and in a fog of complete raw sex, he pumped John’s cock as he orgasmed with a hoarse shout.

Hot cum filled his hands and his palms slipped on John’s cock. He couldn’t stop ramming his hips up so that his own cock throbbed in John’s ass. “Fucking, fucking hell … I’ve never felt anything like this.” He murmured the words between breaths as John eased forward to reach his mouth and kiss him.

From #MMromance Hawk v Falcon #teaserThursday 'What am I doing?'

Justin Elliot gazed at his tablet computer. His face strangely mirrored in the darkened screen by the sun behind him, Justin registered the sadness in his eyes and the dark shadows under them. He’d taken such a chance emailing Chris, but he couldn’t help it. Once he’d seen Chris again the need to contact him tore Justin apart. It’s been so long, so very long—but thinking of Chris out in the same city not knowing he was there too made his stomach hurt. He’d found Chris’s email address easily after he’d been told by hateful Todd that Chris worked at the Candy Apple. All the management staff members were listed by first name on the club website—Chris@thecandyapple.com, Charlie@thecandyapple.com and so on.
Justin could hear Todd’s laughing, malicious voice in his head. “Your precious Chris could have been watching us. I wonder how he’ll feel about you now?” Justin still didn’t know how Todd had discovered Chris worked at the club.
Justin threw the tablet onto the sofa and stood. He charged into his bedroom and grabbed up his jacket. On the way out of his apartment, Justin snatched his keys and smartphone from the hall table.
Waves of indecision flowed over him as he rode the elevator. Firstly, he decided not to go see Chris and then he decided he would. He kept up the alternate thoughts all the way from the twenty-first floor. As he stepped out of the car on the first floor, the decision was a yes he would. Justin froze on the sidewalk as he hailed a cab. What am I doing?
He turned away from the stream of traffic and strode down the street. If he hadn’t passed the cafĂ© where he’d seen Chris buying coffee he probably would have walked around the block and gone home, but he glanced at the cafĂ© window, and into his mind came a picture of Chris, tall, dark haired, his hot body clearly discernable in the black suit he wore. Justin smiled as he recalled his complete joy at seeing Chris and it changed his mind again. He turned and saw a couple alighting from a cab. He ran to it and asked to be taken to where he knew Chris worked.

Tom kept wanting to smile. He couldn’t quite believe how happy being with Scott made him. He showed Scott into his living room, and took off his jacket throwing it over the back of a chair. “Can I get you a beer, or a coffee? I reckon I’ve got bourbon somewhere.” He checked a wall cupboard.
“I’m okay.” Scott walked to be close to him.
Tom closed the door and turned to be face to face with Scott. His heart pounded as Scott pushed his arms around his neck. He gazed into Scott’s eyes. They held tenderness. Tom brought his lips to Scott’s. He brushed Scott’s mouth in a soft caress.
Scott dragged him closer and returned the kiss hungrily.
Desire, already warmed his stomach, now it burned through him and his cock hardened. He pressed against Scott, grabbing his ass to pull Scott’s lower body against his.
Scott smiled against his lips. “That feels good. You’re so sexy. I might need to suck you off right now.” He nudged Tom’s nose with his and bit softly along Tom’s lips.
A murmur escaped from Tom’s mouth. The bites sent sensation right to his cock. His balls tightened. “Come to bed, Scott. I want your cock in my hands. I want your hard body on mine. Fuck ... you feel so great.” He slid his tongue on Scott’s and thrust his hips to feel Scott’s cock bulging in the front of his pants.
Scott kissed along Tom’s jaw and down his neck. “I want you, too.”
Tingles shot down Tom’s neck. His eyes were heavy with lust. His cock ached to be sucked, or pumped. He broke away from Scott’s arms gently and took his hand. Tom brought him to the bedroom. He pulled Scott’s jacket off and started on his shirt buttons.
“I feel like tearing this off you.”
Scott gazed at him with dreamy eyes. “Do it.”
Tom dragged the shirt open. Buttons shot away and plinked onto the floor. He kissed Scott’s chest and licked around each nipple.

Scott groaned. “Hell.”

Read an excerpt from Resurrection #MM #militaryromance @EncompassInk @sdavidsonauthor

Two men with painful, complicated pasts who have shut themselves down from ever loving again. Complete opposites of one another, one raised in a strict military household, who grew up with the sole purpose of becoming a soldier and defending his country, only to have that cut short by an IED; and the other raised in the rodeo, small town and ranch life his safe haven; and their chance meeting.
How the two of them end up in some small town diner can only be credited to divine intervention. But are both men too damaged? They say God works in mysterious ways. Well, he certainly had his hands full when he chose these two for saving.

Is it too late?
 His war has just begun.

Triggers: Deals with PTSD, death, and injury.

Read an excerpt:

New York was quite a bit different than their little hometown, but to a young man ready to embark on his own life, it was exciting. So as they had arranged, after a strong season and defending his title in bull riding plus coming in second in bareback bronc riding, Chris said goodbye to youth rodeo. He’d just turned eighteen and instead, he left home and headed to New York for his freshman year.
“I don’t know about these,” Chris complained. He had gone to the mall with a few friends from school, intending to get himself some New York clothes. He had discovered  that his wardrobe, which had always comprised jeans, t-shirts or button up shirts, his cowboy hat and  his boots didn’t work so well on a college campus in New York. It was all he’d ever known, but he had a group of friends  determined to help him fit in.
“I think they look okay,” Adam stated, looking at the running shoes. He and Chris had dated on and off for a few months, but neither was looking for anything serious.
“They look  good, Chris,” Becky, another close friend added. “They have good traction and it will certainly be easier to run in these than in your boots,” she teased. She still giggled when picturing the look on their gym teacher’s face their first day of class. He took one look at Chris and nearly resigned right then. That was before he discovered how athletic Chris was.
“You think so?” He looked up at her. They felt funny so he walked around  to try them out.
“We also need to get you some shorts,” Adam stated.
“Gonna feel like I left the house without any pants on,” Chris joked.
“I don’t think anyone in class will mind that one bit,” Becky teased. “I understand those thighs are to die for!”
Adam smiled. “That they are.”
“Fine,” Chris huffed, grabbing the empty box and his old pair of boots. “I’m buying these and keeping them on to get used to them. Now if you two will stop discussing my performance in the bedroom, I’d like some help getting a few other things,” he reprimanded, a smirk always just below the surface.

Her writing focus is real people, flaws and all, who are hurting or damaged, but deserve a little joy in their lives. Shelly was born and raised in Arizona, but currently lives in California because that is where the money is! She is currently single, but has a grown daughter and an adorable grandson both of whom she loves dearly. While she usually stays pretty much to herself, she does have a Bachelor’s in Social Services and a diverse background that ranges from theater to health care and currently works in accounting, she swears it’s not as boring as it sounds. While this is her first publication, it is by far not the last! She plans on being around for quite some time! You’ve been warned!
