'That totally dishy young man who’d bought the old palace' #MWTease #teaser #romance from @evernightpub

From A Fairy Tale Romance, Evernight Publishing

Sandy Carson unlocked her office door, flipped the notice secured in the middle of the glass panel to ‘Open,’ and clattered to her desk. Her stiletto heels echoed in the large half-empty space. She employed an assistant who generally started work at nine, and that’s why she’d made the eight o’clock appointment with poor Thorn Valmont. That’s how she thought of him now. At first, she’d regarded him as ‘that totally dishy young man who’d bought the old palace’ but after ten years of knowing his secret, she pitied him. Though he was still gorgeous, his plight was nothing short of grotesque.

She tossed her briefcase down and pushed the button on her computer. Leaving it to boot, she went to make coffee in the back room of the office. Sandy enjoyed the cool, white, spacious office. She’d chosen the minimalist look for it. At fifty years old, Sandy had discarded her unfaithful husband and changed every facet of her surroundings at home and in her business.

She took her coffee back to her desk and checked through the contract again. At last, Thorn was opening up the vacation accommodation he’d made in the old palace. Three self-contained luxury apartments were available within the huge house. Thorn lived in another on the third floor. Sandy had sold him the place and now she was going to act as the agent to let out the vacation apartments. She hoped to involve him in greeting the tenants, but Thorn might do nothing more than allow access to the cleaners at the end of each rental. She sighed, thinking about the sad figure he cut when he did appear in town. Tall, muscled, dark hair, and lovely blue eyes, his handsome exterior still couldn’t hide his pain. Well, not from me anyway ... maybe that’s because I know.

The door of the office opened and the man she’d been picturing entered. He smiled as he approached her desk.

Sandy recognized the effort Thorn had made to look businesslike and she stood to shake his hand in greeting.

“Thorn, good to see you … would you like a cup of coffee?”

“Yes, please, Sandy.”

She waved at the chair alongside her desk.
“Sit down, and read the contract. I’ll go get you a cup of coffee.” She handed him the hard copy she’d printed out for signing.

Thorn took it.

Sandy saw his hand trembling. She couldn’t help patting him on the shoulder before she went to the kitchen. “It’ll be okay.” I hope.

When she got back with his cup of coffee, he’d closed the folder, and placed it on her desk. She put the cup down alongside it.
“Have you changed your mind?”

Thorn looked sadly into her eyes.

Her heartbeat sped up. A strange, little tug tightened her stomach. Not for the first time she wished she were twenty years younger. Thorn was exactly her type physically, and such a lovely man, but he was only thirty. I can look though, can’t I?

He answered her. “No, I have to do this. It’s scary, but I have to start earning a living somehow now. My monetary inheritance has just about gone and the rest is property that can’t be sold. I have no right to ask my brother …” he trailed off, and picked up his coffee cup.

Sandy watched him take a sip of the drink. She slid the folder along the desk and turned to the signature page. He’d signed it. She looked back at Thorn. “You’ve signed already …? You won’t regret this. Renting out the apartments will be an easy source of income for you. Seriously, I’ll take care of everything for you. Just let it happen. Don’t end up like the old prince, Thorn. You need to retain hope. One of these days things will get better, I just know it.”

He took the winding road to his palace #teaserTuesday from A #FairyTale #Romance @evernightpub #erotic surprising

Thorn lingered in the town for a couple of hours. He wandered amongst the tourists, enjoying the distant contact with people. When loneliness really took a hold, just being surrounded by strangers was a treat. He stopped at ‘The Drowning Princess Café’ for coffee. As he waited for his order, he re-read the signs on the walls that told the legend of the princess.

Her family sent her to this place, a far off land, to marry a prince. Her father, the old king, did the deal for riches. The prince wanted this woman to love him, but she couldn’t, and pined for her home. Her miserable existence got the better of her, and she threw herself into the sea, here from the quayside where the townspeople erected a tavern to honor her drowning. Her mother, who had opposed the marriage from the start and was rumored amongst her own people to be a witch, had died too not long after, made ill by grief. The legend told of a spell she cast on the prince before she died. It was so powerful a spell that in her broken-hearted condition she weakened from the exertion and died. The modern day café stood on the exact spot where the princess threw herself into the waves, after the original tavern had finally decayed.

Thorn didn’t think there was even a remote truth to the legend when he’d read the posters on his first visit to the coastal town. Now, he sighed, thinking it was more than likely true. He picked up the coffee served to him and drank a little. It was good coffee. He watched people come and go for a half hour and then left to drive home.

He took the winding coast road up the hillside to his palace. As he drove, he considered Sandy. He knew she liked him. She was a sweetheart and one of only three people who knew what he was now. His doctor knew, his lawyer knew, and Sandy. They’d taken some convincing at first. His doc actually attempted a psych evaluation, but then of course, ‘seeing is believing,’ and at a dinner party where Thorn had arranged especially for them to see, they suddenly became his confidants.

She knelt so that he could raise his hips and slide the jeans down his thighs.

The white sand felt cool under his ass. His cock ached. His stomach muscles were so tightly clenched with the need to fuck he could hardly breathe. Thorn watched Grace push aside the pale blue fabric of her bikini panties between her legs. His breath left him in a whoosh as she grasped his cock to guide the head to her entrance, and then with exquisite slowness sat down onto it so that he felt every inch of the warm, wet, glide in.

She straddled across his lap, her knees in the sand and her inner thighs against the skin of his outer thighs. She held the V of his hips and rode his cock.

Who's afraid of the night? #ScintillatingSunday with an adult #fairytale

From Evernight Publishing an erotic fairy tale
Aptly titled, A Fairy Tale Romance
When delectable Thorn Valmont buys an old palace to renovate on the Mediterranean coast, he never dreams it will cost him his freedom.
Thorn is part of an aristocratic family. He’s a prince and must find his princess to solve a puzzle he inherits from the ancient owners of the Mediterranean palace.
Will he find her in time to stop his loneliness destroying him completely?
The story is contemporary, fantasy romance. It’s set along the coast in the sumptuous Mediterranean, and bathed in warmth, which I felt was a fitting venue to contrast with the stark misery of my hero’s predicament.
The story is modelled on old fairy story motifs, where there is a fairy godmother style character, a prince and a princess. I so enjoyed writing this story because Thorn Valmont, my hero, is such a lovely, romantic man and deserves to be freed from the curse that befalls him. This is a sizzler of a story with erotic love scenes and threads of fairy tale mystery as we wonder what has happened to Thorn and how he’ll escape his lonely life.
I wrote the story after seeing lots of photographs of the Mediterranean coast. There were some places where old mansions were built up the cliff sides. The blue ocean and the lovely vegetation sparked my imagination. One particular photo of a semi-ruined palace caught my attention and I wondered who might have lived there. That’s when Thorn Valmont my hero popped into my mind.

Read the #ScintillatingSunday #8 paragraphs

The memory of the young woman’s long slim legs and firm thighs filled his head as he walked home. He imagined caressing her. He would trail his fingertips up the back of her thighs to tease inside the cutoff bottoms of her shorts. It was so long since he’d felt the skin of a woman and yet he could almost conjure up that softness at the top of a thigh where it joined the enticing base of her ass. Thorn sighed sadly and shook his head. He had never come to terms with his lack of sex. Sometimes, after a week or so of ignoring his needs he would masturbate before darkness fell. He always felt better afterwards and told himself to do it more often, to give himself that comfort, but often sadness stole away the notion and he’d drift through his existence until he suddenly realized he needed the release of orgasm.

Thorn knew that he needed it now, before darkness fell. He practically sprinted up the zigzag path to his home, resolved to ease the pain of loneliness that the sight of the lovely young woman had deepened. Inside his bedroom, he closed his eyes and found it easy to picture her mouth, the plump bottom lip, the way her hair tendrils had stroked there, and then he unzipped his jeans. He paused and thrust away the memory of Grace. He needed quick relief.

Thorn brought to mind one of the last real sexual encounters he’d had with a woman. It was a hot memory and one he’d used before. They’d met at a party, instantly attracted in a superficial sexual way, they agreed to a moonlit tryst in the garden of the big house where the party was being held.

He’d stalked to the girl waiting in a small stand of trees, stripped her quickly, and lifted her to slide with her to the grass. His arm around her bare waist, and a hand cupping her pussy, he’d subconsciously stored away the feel of her wet arousal on his palm and could bring that to mind.

He recalled the words she’d said to him then, as he took his cock in his fist and pumped.
She had said, “Fuck me. Fuck me hard. I want everything, your tongue, your fingers, and your cock in me. I want to suck you until you moan and your cum fills my mouth.”

Thorn groaned as his cock hardened and he whispered the words, “Fuck me.” He pictured licking the girl’s pussy, her legs wide apart as she lay in the grass and his stomach clenched. His orgasm teased at him and he leaned on the edge of the chest of drawers bent over with the urgent need to come as he built a rhythm. He focused on the memory of her nipples between his lips, the way she’d sucked his cock, the taste of her cream on his tongue. Thorn pumped hard and his orgasm suddenly burned through him. As the waves of pleasure coursed in his balls and forced the cum to spurt in warm streaks over the back of his hand, he saw Grace as she’d looked at him on the beach. He saw her green eyes and perfect lips. The picture in his mind added sweetness to the orgasm. He shuddered and groaned.

Shadows had lengthened in his bedroom. Thorn hurriedly cleaned up and sped to his balcony. He glanced at the sky. Darkness was falling fast. As he ran down the spiral staircase, he hoped he would see Grace again. Tomorrow, if I walk on the beach at the same time as I did today maybe she’ll be there again.

Thorn held her close and kissed her. Elated, he picked her up afterwards and spun her around to stop next to a group of large rocks pockmarked by the tide around their base.
She clung to him smiling.
Taking a chance, he sat down with her on the sand between the rocks so that she straddled him. He positioned her so that her pussy pressed along the rigid column of his cock, and held out his hands to hold hers. That feels so great, but I hope I’ve not taken things too far. He couldn’t let the feeling go, couldn’t shuffle her along so that his cock wasn’t there pressing against her, and growing by the second.

#Coverreveal for 'A Fairy Tale Romance' and advance excerpt from this December #eroticromance release from Evernight Publishing #MWTease

Read an advance excerpt:

It had been so long since he’d kissed or been kissed, so long since he’d enjoyed a woman’s body against his. He looked along her body, his gaze traveled across her breasts, and down to her bare thighs. The lure of what lay just under the hem of the dress speared him. Thorn closed his eyes for a second. The pain of loneliness made him feel foolish — pathetic.

“Hi, Thorn … Mr. Valmont … can I call you Thorn? It’s a lovely day again. This is a great beach. Do you ever swim?”

Thorn heard her voice through his fog of need, as if she was far away. He nodded.
“Please call me Thorn. I do swim sometimes. I like to walk here.”
He opened his hand and showed her a cowrie shell polished by the sand and sea. “Sometimes I find pretty things.”
He looked into her eyes. He meant her as well as the shell.

Grace stared back at him.

He felt sure she understood his meaning. He wished for her touch.

Magically she leaned into him. She slid a slender fingertip along the shell. “What a lovely pattern.” Her other fingers briefly touched his palm.

A flash of pure sexual response sparked along his lower stomach. He bent his head to hers. The pull of attraction so strong he couldn’t help himself. He slipped his free hand along her cheek into her hair and kissed her.

The touch of her lips, the soft, and then firm press of her mouth against his so good, a low moan escaped from the back of his throat. He let the shell fall to the sand, slid his arm around her waist, and brought Grace to his body in a hug as he kissed her over and over. Ten years since the feel of another’s skin on his, ten years since he’d trailed his fingers over the sexy softness of a woman’s breast, he closed his eyes, and kissed her hard.

Grace wore a yellow sundress. It hugged her shapely hips and flared around her pretty thighs.

Thorn looked hungrily at the satiny skin of her shoulders, the top of her arms, where the sun had kissed them, and then into her beautiful eyes.

Grace gazed at Thorn.

Sandy stepped up and handed the keys to Grace. It broke the spell between Thorn and the young woman.

They stopped staring at each other, though Thorn would have liked to for longer.

The white walls of the old palace sparkled in the early morning sun, contrasting with the deep green, banks of trees growing up the hillside. Perfume drifted in the gentlest of breezes from the jasmine climbing up the walls. Heavy-headed, pink roses hung from the rambling vines alongside the balconies. The cloudless sky shimmered, a perfect Mediterranean blue.

At six in the morning it was already a warm day. Thorn Valmont looked out from the balcony of his bedroom window, and took a long drink of his morning coffee. He turned and put the mug down with a click on the yellow painted, lace-metal table in the corner. Summer was his favorite season. The daylight lasted longer and the dawn came quick, making the nights short. He leaned on the balcony rail and stared off toward the ocean.

The white sandy beach was visible in a strip beside the soft low surf. The sea, palest aqua-blue close to shore, darkened to deep turquoise around twenty yards out. Thorn loved the ocean. That was why he’d bought this place part way up the hillside ten years before. The real estate agent warned him it needed renovation. Little care had been bestowed on the place for many years prior to it coming on the market. The previous owner, a bizarre old recluse, had died and lain in the courtyard for weeks before a mail delivery person found him.

When the real estate agent showed Thorn around, he realized what ‘renovation’ really meant. The place was a shell. The outer walls of the building sound enough, but next to nothing of the interior remained. The top floor loomed in darkness, only accessible by a beautiful, but broken spiral staircase. Plaster peeled from the walls downstairs, and the amenities, if they could be called that, were at least Victorian, if not Georgian.

Thorn bought the place. It was only after settlement of the contract, and he was the legal owner, that he received ‘the letter.’

She pressed against him, held his shoulders so hard, Thorn felt the sting of her fingernails.

He raised his head to touch his open mouth to hers as she came.

They crashed against each other as Grace groaned into his mouth. “Thorn.”

Thorn’s mind reeled with her sounds of delight, and then he heard something else. Voices, shouts — people were walking along the beach in the edge of the gentle waves. He held Grace tight.
“Someone is coming.”

Grace laughed. “Is that a reference to me bucking on your hand, groaning with pleasure?”

“No, someone is on the beach. I can’t see them clearly yet, but I can hear them. Listen.”
Thorn smiled and quickly kissed her. “I don’t want to let you go yet. You feel like heaven. Let me taste you.” He murmured between kisses as he gently slid his fingers from her pussy. He pulled Grace down in front of him.

She lay back with a sigh.

Thorn knew the people were getting closer. He didn’t care. He had to taste Grace. He spread her legs and kissed the inner tops of her thighs. The scent of her juices made his balls tingle. He bent and lapped at her clit, her folds, and thrust his tongue into her pussy with a moan.

She responded right away, reached for his head, and held him there. Her hips rose to his face between her legs, she moaned in short little sounds.

Thorn sucked her clit and teased with his teeth. He felt her tense and then she was coming on his lips. Thorn held her until she stopped rocking to his mouth and then he eased away.
“I still don’t want to let you go, but you’re naked, and rosy, and so sexy. I’m not sure I want anyone else seeing you.”

Grace moved away from him with a smile to snatch up her dress and yank it on over her head. She tossed him his T-shirt.

Thorn caught it in one hand as he hurriedly pulled up his jeans and zipped them, bending to keep his newly hardened cock away from the fastening.

They grinned at each other. “Your delicious pussy and moaning made me hard again.”

Grace picked up her panties and took a step toward Thorn. She pushed them into his back pocket and reached on tiptoe to kiss his lips softly.

Delight coursed through him at her kiss and the fact he had her panties in his pocket.

The people approaching were close now and heading their way.

Grace helped Thorn to pack up their picnic.

He smiled as he watched her stand with the blanket in her arms. Her hair caressed her shoulders, and her eyes sparkled.
“You look so innocent and yet you’re smoking hot and have no panties on.”

She smiled as she approached. Her short beach dress swished around her brown thighs, and one of the shoestring straps had fallen from her shoulder over the top of her arm.

Thorn took in the sight and longing filled him. He wished he already knew her well, knew her so that he could hug her, and kiss her hello, or more than hello. His mouth watered to kiss along her lovely shoulders. Desperation grew as she came near and looked into his eyes.
She stood so close her breath brushed his skin.
